awesome! i did this too on my console and it works! thanks.

also if you want it only for a single interface - you can use the pre-defined alerts for utilization and add another simple condition statement "Full name is equal to (name of the interface).
-
superfly99 - if that will be the case, of course you can do that. There are pre-canned alerts that you can build on Advance alert manager. You can choose from TX or RX percent utilization or you can 1 alert and combine both with the OR statement on TX or RX. But if you are looking to use a filter of IP address Group…

I believe his goal is to include a column for frequency of status change with his existing Historical Availability reports. Using this template may not display the other information for his Availability report - it will only show the number of times it went down. This might be possible by using Custom SQL query then doing…

If you see other devices are showing flow data on the NTA application, then I can say that 99% your NTA application is not the issue. NTA will only listen to port 2055 and it will just collect all flow data that your device is throwing at it. Best way to isolate the issue if the flow from your non-working device is…

did you ping this device from the Solarwinds server or to your local PC?
-
Possible but not 100% sure if it can suffice what you are expecting to show it up. You can try to put some IP address groups and see what is the result.

if this failed, to further check this, RDP to your Solarwinds Server >> launch WBEMTEST and test your connectivity:

polling time out 2500 ms - are you referring to Response time threshold set to the device to go critical (down) at 2500ms? because the default for a node is 500 ms for warning and 1000ms for Critical. when you do a continous ping on the checkpoint from the Solarwinds server what is your average response time?
-
Guys this will be supported on the next NTA release.

Feature request. It is an ongoing request already from Solarwinds. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2433

I believe you can place this variable ${N=Generic;M=DateTime;F=DateTime} (if you are using NPM 11.5 and above) in the reset Action. So once the Reset condition fired, it means that the Alerting engine was able to check the device that it is no longer on Unmanage state.

1. Remote access your Orion server 2. Start >> All program >> Solarwinds Orion >> Advance Features >> Database Manager 3. Add Default server >> Click the plus sign beside your NPM Database >> look for Alert_Logs Table 4. Right click >> Query Table 5. Click Execute query 6. it will show the alert logs. 7. click export to…

Nope, there is no way you can change it. This would be a feature request.

Hi, So you have 500 by 500 MBps of connection, then you monitor the interface on NPM and setup an alert at 95%. Then you tested it to burst it out to 700MBps which you are allowed? Now if that is a YES - another question, did you set the Custom bandwidth on that same interface for 500 MBPS? (Edit Interface >> Enable Custom…

run SNMPwalk to that device. Open C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion and run SNMPWalk.exe - Enter IP address of Node, Community String - Click Scan and then save the resulting text file then do a search on the temp sensor, see what it says. This is a question between what your device is showing via command line versus…

It is really recommended to separate the SQL from the Solarwinds application, this is to prevent performance issue. If your email server went down, you can set-up SMS Text alerts for notification: Enabling SMS/Text alerts in Orion If the whole virtual environment went down or a network issue, then it is a different issue,…
