Just a quick update from me on this one too. I too have resolved this issue on my system. I installed SQL 2005 Enterprise on my NPM box and that's really when I started getting the problems. This was due to the fact that I had removed Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition from add and remove programs. I stupidly…

Ok more information. Completely removed Sophos but on restart got the Just-in-time debuging window backup, you have to be logged onto the machine not RDP'd to it to get this. If you leave that window on the screen error in event viewer stops. If you so no to debuging the error happens again and pops up the just-in-time…

Just tested this and worked first time! Very happy now, gives me extra work to do as I deleted all the 1900's out of Cirrus as I didn't see much point in them being there. Better add them back in!!! Thanks again vhcato!!! Iain

The plot thickens. Noticed that my Sophos AutoUpdater was not in the systray. Turned it back on and with in about 2 seconds of it loading I got my .NET error again! Any one else running Sophos that has this problem?

vhcato, you're a legend! I haven't yet tried it but it's looking good from what I can see. Just got in to work so I'll have a play now. Cheers Iain

Strange thing happened last night, got this new event about 23 times in the space of 20 minutes and since then I haven't been getting the above error. Very strange and I have know idea if it's anything I've done or not. I'm thinking not but I did reboot the machine a few times. Here's a copy of the new error (which has now…

Hello Brian, As reported above the upgrade from 4 to 5 should be seemless so any work you do now will be carried over to the new version. In my opinion, if you've got the time planned to started adding your devices and start to configure cirrus how you want it then don't put it off, you might not get the time back, if your…

I'm getting this message too, which looks a lot like your problem too. Event Type: Error Event Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting Event Category: None Event ID: 5000 Date: 14/10/2008 Time: 16:24:17 User: N/A Computer: SENTINEL Description: EventType clr20r3, P1 swjobschedulersvc.exe, P2 1.1.0.238, P3 486c94d4, P4…

Well if you can update me with that I'd be very grateful. I think you should stop whatever you're doing and really put the effort in to installing it on the production server!!! ;-)

I have to agree with this. I have over 400 devices in Orion and to get them in to NCM I can import them so no great problem there. So would it not be a good idea to be able to import the same devices into the Toolset that we clearly will be using to look at the same switches in Orion/NCM.

I'm now using OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.171.1.2.1.1 (cikeGlobalActiveTunnels) which works well. Anyone got any ideas on OID's for Clientless SSL VPN and SSL VPN Clients on an ASA? I wish it were easy to find what you need in MIBs.

Yeah that's what my supplier said too. Thought that might be the case that's why I was trying the SNMP side of things. But it doesn't like that either. Oh well, we hope to get the rest of the 1900's replaced with 2960's by the end of the year. Thanks for your comment Chris.

Hello People, I have resolved this issue so I thought I would update just in case someone else ever has this issue. I have an instance running on an SQL server the server name is IPI-SQL and the instance is called IPI_SENTINEL. Now before when I used to click the dropdown menu for the SQL server I didn't have to make an…

Just to put an answer to this, I raised a ticket and got a response back from SolarWinds. I had changed the view for certain nodes and that was where the problem was, they didn't have permission to see the very nodes I had made the views for. So basically there were restrictions on the views and not the user. If that makes…

I would like to request the ability to edit multiple addresses at once. I had to go through changing the type on over 100 addresses earlier, one by one. If I could tick all the addresses I wanted and the click edit so I could edit the fields that could be the same, like Type, Vendor, etc. It took me ages to change the type…
-
Opening a ticket is the way to go. They helped solve the issue, had to do a few license resets and clears from the server so if anyone else has this issue raise that call.
-
That's great news on the map maker. Would make my life so much easier!

Hello, If they have been changed, they haven't been changed by me. Is there anything specific I can check?
-
No the databases are on a separate SQL server. Both the NPM and NCM websites work. Configuration is backed up every night as well as inventoried and it all works. So the connection to the SQL database is there. Just broken when I come to try and import from the NPM database. I've logged a ticket with Solarwinds but haven't…
-
No I still have the problem. I'll log it as suggested. Thanks Iain

I've just received an answer from my supplier and found that downloading configs is not possible from the menu driven 1900. thought I'd better update in case anyone tried to find the answer.
-
Right, I've just answered my own question, that just changes the subject for the main job giving the results. So good question, how do you change the subject!?
-
I realised I was still on 9.0 so upgraded to 9.1 sp3 this morning. I'll let you know if I have any more issues with the interfaces. Thanks for the reply.
-
I have the same issue with an FWSM that I have just noticed. Anyone ever have any ideas on this?
-
I can't be 100% sure, I upgrdaded to 9.1 sp3 last week and it's been working fine as far as I can tell. Just started happening today, but then again the nodes I am clicking on are not nodes I would click on very often. So hard to say. What diagnostics should I include in the ticket?

This is top news. Just looking at the demo now, very happy, and looking forward to this, it's exactly the direction Cirrus needed to go. Top marks! Just a few questions: Will this now be using one database or will it still be keeping them separate? How does the upgrade work, obviously having cirrus for nearly a year now I…

set prompt "name"> should fix it. I had an issue with a 2948 and this seemed to work. Had the same problem as the original poster and this solution works a treat. Cheers maustin!

Following on from this, Is there away to change the SMTP hostname for alerts that are already configured without going in to each alert that is already set up? Kind Regards Iain
-
Just another note on this, the 1900 have that stupid menu where you can press M for a menu driven system or K for the command line. I think that's what is stopping me from using telnet to pull down the configs because I can't get past that option. I've been looking at the snmp side of things more and now I get an error…

Can you not get rid of the Solarwinds.Net Configuration Management Job Completion Notification part of the subject by editing the scheduled job and going to the Notifications Tab. There is a subject field there. Not sure if it will remove the Config Change Alert part of the subject though. I'll give it a go tonight. Iain
