I answered Day 11 and it shows in the post that I answered but my green check mark isn't showing for the day.

ARGH.... so stupid. It doesn't say with one license or with many licenses. Another badly worded question in my opinion.
-
@"danielleh" this question isn't registering as answered for me on the main mission page - can you reset it?
-
Haha! I knew the answer to today's question because I was in the session during TC! Didn't even have to watch the video (although I did just to be SURE).
-
me too - I'm worried

The best thing about this bracket battle is its showing me about a dozen new movies to watch!! Add ExMachina to the list (but I have to go with the sentimental one here, Short Circuit was a great flick).
-
Can anyone confirm that today's (Day 4) link answers the question? I've read it twice now and I'm not seeing anything about auto configuration based on price/performance...

I felt like the year was mostly SaaS and Database with very little OnSite. Another good year of fun missions!!
-
Other: interruptions from other parts of the business, too many scheduled projects to focus on, meetings, meetings, and more meetings... The list goes on. Monitoring, alerting, and the tools that enable them are the least of my worries... :)

I tried it again this morning and it's now working.

I agree - visual overhaul!

How about some type of SAAS/Cloud application monitoring solution? What can I do from the SAM API to monitor a third party app, our single sign-on to that app, which users are connecting to that app, etc...?
-
Learning to use the tool that's in place to monitor that environment. That was two and a half years ago when I became an Application Administrator and first touched SolarWinds Orion. Now I feel like I am well versed in the tool and need to work on ancillary skills to be able to interface with the database and use SWQL and…

A Bad Poem About Twenty --- At the start of the year I raised up a beer And cheersed to the bright days ahead. --- But some Chinese got sick it expanded right quick and soon we were quarantined instead. --- We turned to our Zooms and Teams and Skype rooms and worked with our kids home from school. --- Trump sat on his…

No, it's not a critical issue for me. I'm just starting to work on configuring monitors and alerts for our SSL certificates and have the issue so I did a quick search for it. And here I am.
-
That video was so clear. Thanks for the clarification!

Oh my gosh - I have thought about this a dozen times. And yes - the monitored server and the Orion server are both on PST. But I just realized that I am using the Orion platform in my web browser from MST. I bet Orion is editing the time that I enter in there for the time zone change it sees with my browser in the Mountain…

Replying to follow this thread. I have the same issue with a SharePoint server. The certificate on that server doesn't expire until 2021 but this component monitor is failing with the same error: "Connection closed. Transport failed! Closing the connection... Exception message: Last available ssl protocol failed." If you…

Just FYI to close this thread - I wound up having to use the Umanage Scheduling Utility and Task Scheduler on the Orion server to get the server in question to go into Unmanaged mode for an hour each morning. Nothing I tried would work using the Time of Day settings in the alert manager.
-
Still fighting with this issue. It turned out to not be a time zone issue. Still can't get the alert to disable based on the alert's Time of Day setting. I have completely scrapped the old alert and set up a new one and it's the same story - create the alert and use the Time of Day setting to 'Disable' the alert from 3am…

It is, in fact, looking like Orion will edit the time based on the accessing browser's time zone. Our poller and the node are in the PST time zone but since my browser is making changes to the alert from the MST time zone I must enter times in MST and allow Orion to convert to the server's time zone.
