Very nice!

Thanks, I've also looked at the HA method but I guess its for a larger environment than just a single polling engine.

You rock, going to try this out now.

CPU and memory is easy. + Disk is the challenge it appears, as there is no canned report that encompasses all kinds of disks in common servers - Mount Points, Cluster, Fixed etc. I have this kind of report with PowerShell. Need it native in SolarWinds.

I would stop all services and run this in DB MGR - delete from dbo.PendingNotifications delete from dbo.SubscriptionTags delete from dbo.Subscriptions delete from dbo.ContainerMemberSnapshots delete from dbo.LimitationSnapshots Truncate Table [dbo].[ContainerMemberSnapshots]

Thanks Mark...!!!

Right. Your script has to have a statistic output in order for any magic to happen. You'll have to assign a variable to the command, like you see in the process example. Sorry, I can't code it. I don't speak Perl at all.

Exactly. This is why monitoring methodology that has been in place for 20 years must adapt to the new Cloud model of automated resource destruction and creation. Current monitoring methodologies can't keep up with the DevOps model of the Cloud you describe. Agents have no place in DevOps yet without this automation you…

It takes WAY more than that for me. More like 20-30 minutes to cache all that stuff.

Thanks. So, how many previous in place upgrades were performed on this host? It seems that building out a new host is a good counter measure but not everyone has the time and resources to do that. Perhaps the PowerShell script support uses to wipe Orion away may need to go public.

Uninstalling IIS now per KB.

Cool. Feel free to mark the post as answered.

I am hoping for clarification on this. I believe part of the question is what templates require the Agent? Does the Tomcat template require the agent? I need to deploy the Tomcat template and I am confused by statements in the documentation - ============================== "Tomcat Server monitor" * Prerequisites for Orion…

Is the instance running on anything but default port 1433? Edit the monitor - Check which platform is set (64/x86). Alao check what mode ‘agent or agentless’. These are the basic troubleshooting steps I look at. Also try applying the ‘Basic SQL’ template as a test.

If not already done, I would patch all of your servers with all the same new Windows .NET and O/S updates. This just corrected a ton of problems in my environment. Run a Windows Update check and compare patches missing. January 2019 Windows Updates are safe and stable with SolarWinds within our Windows 2012 R2 environment.

What is the diag tool checking on this one? I'd like to verify this one manually. Check site bindings Last checked Feb 2, 2019 11:03:42 PM Orion website has no DB entry. Please run Config wizard and rebuild the site. Related KB articles MT7646

Hide and seek is a beautiful game in our industry. "If the AD test found warnings in the logs, view the warnings and determine what, if anything, needs to occur to remove the warning."

Thanks again -

Ahh, the timeless beauty of alert noise....

Thanks for your comments. I'm chasing an abundance of different Orion issues so in the meantime, i hope click happy people do not get really happy.

Is this image the good version or the bad version? I think we are having trouble seeing the issue....?

Well, I just put up an HA server and installed the SolarWinds Oracleclientinstaller.exe from the download site in order for HA to pick up SAM monitoring. I run the program as Admin and it flashes by and does sometime but I have no idea what. Any feedback on what the Oracleclientinstaller.exe actually does?

Awesome tip as well!

If you don't have backups there's not much else you can do but rebuild.

You will need to experiment I suppose. Sorry. I have not deployed this template. I would engage your Apache people for deeper guidance.

I checked a 2019.4 (No HF) environment to confirm the event component is in the pick list.

You should use a resource View widget as referenced above.
