Has anyone done a successful Windows 2012R2 to Windows 2016 migration using same host name same IP guide? I'm looking to do it very soon and just wanting any additional tips from the field. Thanks

Opened a ticket, and I guess its normal and non-affecting. Orion SWIS URI System Identifier will always display the old host name from the very first orion server the product was installed on, and this should not be changed * SwisUriSystemIdentifiernever updated is intended behavior. That identifier is created when the…

Would be great if all of these tests that present a problem issue had these kinds of details you summarize.

Me too.

You can setup alerts with some simple Trigger filtering on names / IP as David mentions.

I recall a similar question not too long ago. I think that thread said that as long as APs are not classified as nodes and not open to have custom proprieties this may not be possible. But I'd like to see if there is a new or correct answer to this. I would like to know too.

Is your network/security team tasked to lock down all the products with explicit rules using the 5/28 doc? Perhaps someone here has a Visio doc to share.

i searched the support PDF and don't see SNMP listed in there for hardware monitoring. You can monitor the underlying OS though. What OS is installed?

Try creating a View or a Report instead of a Perf Analysis project with your desired interfaces. Old example of mine below, with captain obvious redactions.

My goodness, I pray for anyone with such large environments to upgrade.

Hi - I highly recommend obfuscating your email address. URL, and disk names and other sensitive data in this post. This site is wide open on the Internets. Publishing server names and email addresses tied to your name is an invitation for hackers. As for your issue, you should try and delete the alert, and try it again.…

You set the Warning and Critical threshold in the template. Then, create the alert based on the status of the Application. Here is an Oracle table space monitor alert and component I alert on in this way. 1. Template Configuration - warning and critical thresholds. 2. Alert Configuration - critical threshold breached -…

You could create a custom graphic of these groups and other objects and place your group status objects in network Atlas instead of using the somewhat inflexible Views/Group resource. I feel your pain. Its such a mega massive application with so many moving pieces and parts that its difficult to feel fearless in upgrading or throwing anything at it - hot fixes, patches, service re-installs etc. I don't think any of us who manage mission critical monitoring for several companies feels 1000% comfortable…
