This counter is in SolarWinds.......

Any feedback on this? Thanks

Is this an HA failover?

Create Component alert(s) just for the services you want alerts on for the server team.

It would be great to have an all inclusive Serial # Report somehow. Has anyone been able to do it?
-
These are all still valid. The most important is any custom code in Inetpub\SolarWinds as this folder typically gets wiped and rebuilt with a Config Wizard operation.

SolarWinds doesn't dynamically maintain or manage volumes when labels change or when volumes are added/removed. Most people learn this the hard way when an outage occurs due to an unchecked new volume. Many threads on this topic. Updating volumes that change or added has to be done manually. If you go to the Manage Nodes…

Which report are you trying for this?

What is the source of these events - Windows event viewer events, raw text logs, application level, Performance Counters? All of these can packaged in a template, you just need to identify the raw source and create the components. Windows Agents are unreliable for us as well. Its been an epic challenge keeping them green.

Is this it? Status values

Aye, the dreaded Node Down alerts caused by minor packet loss, methinks. Check the Packet Loss chart on one of the Nodes. Look for Red.
-
You can create a process monitor for it and alert on up/down.
-
Create powershell script to dump the events to html file, embed the html file in an html widget View using iframe code. Lots of work, yes. But doable.

No crashes, rock solid. Very happy so far. Thank you all from the SolarWinds team and early adopters. I think our success is due to starting with a previously "fresh" 12.2 deployment. We had a dev assisted upgrade to 12.2 which failed miserably. The engineer on the DAU call gave me the "Owl" script and we blew away the…

Upgraded tonight. So far all is OK. I'll be reporting any issues here. Thank you all for being early adopters. Orion Platform 2018.2 HF4, IPAM 4.7.0, NCM 7.8, CloudMonitoring 2.0.1, NPM 12.3, DPAIM 11.1.0, NTA 4.2.3, SAM 6.6.1, NetPath 1.1.3 1999-2018 SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. All Rights Reserved.

Hi everyone - For those that had issues, are your environments now rock solid and stable? Some of us who have paused moving forward are very eager to know how you're doing and if there are any outstanding issues to report. Thank you very much in advance for any feedback.
-
Does anyone else have any feedback on the stability since the fix suggestion from the closed thread? Is your environment now stable? It seems there are mixed reviews on the fix. Thank you.

Are the processes that breach the CPU consistent? If so, you can create process checks and collect CPU stats on them, and then easily create the reports. I do the same for Java processes, I send reports every month on memory/CPU usage.

Just dropping by to say that in recent weeks our main AWS was crashing daily causing significant pain in the universe. The minute I configured idle time out on the app pool to 0 it all went away. Some other threads suggest other values. I can only attest to 0 being the magic bullet for us.

I've experienced this many times. Especially when deleting more than 50+ monitors at a time. A service reboot may help, and some patience. Sometimes I've seen these self heal and go away with a day or two.

Any more updates and opinions? We bought it and now have showstopping challenges and issues with the product digesting SolarWinds variables. Anything outside of the list below is a struggle. I guess not too many people migrated from AlertCentral. Thanks

I opened a thread on this a few weeks ago. Windows Updates mis-match was the culprit. Once we patched all Orion servers with all possible .NET patches and Windows Updates, radial gauges came back. Additional Web Server Broken Images/Radial Gauges

Can the recent additions identify what issue you have and describe your environment for those of us following this thread? Would be good to see things like: * Main issue(s) encountered: Polling engine dies after 48 hours, service crashes, service stops, web front end times out. ETC. * Main polling engine OS: Windows 2012…

You can unmanage a service using the Umanage utility. I do this nightly and it works great. Unmanage Scheduling Utility Manage transactions with the Unmanage Scheduling Utility

You'll need to buy additional polling engine ($20,000). Or get a quote for a "remote office" polling engine (around $5000 for 500 quantity limit of monitored elements).
