Solved! Ok now I'm baffled. I've been around for a while but never seen a thing like this. The Terminal Server / Remote Desktop connection did it. When reading the posts one more time I remembered I tried the server out using Remote Desktop MMC snap-in a few days ago. I didn't notice anything special about that connection…

Ah. Thats another issue. Yes, I use remote desktop to access the server since it's located at our Co-location site. How could RD affect the style of a web application?
-
Not that I know of. Only other application running on the Orion web server is Dell IT assistant

Hi I'll try to give as much information as possible. Orion web server: Dell R410, 2x4Core Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5530 @ 2.40GHz, 8gb RAM, Windows 2003 R2, 2xRAID-1 SAS 136gb. Orion SQL server: Dell 2970, 2xQuad-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2382, 8gb RAM, Windows 2003 R2, SQL 2005, 2xRAID-1 33gb for OS, 4xRAID-10 SAS 550gb…

Didn't work for me. Registration ran without errors as described but the website still can't show "Unique visitors". Even more disturbing is that this error appears under "Top 10 Applications" when viewing Netflow Interface details. This is more troublesome for me than missing counties. /Fredrik

Hi folks Any update on this? I'm running the latest V10 with the service pack and all my links that are administratively shut down are still shown as green on all my maps. Quite annoying. Regards Fredrik

Same thing after Conf Wizard. NTA graphs are OK though, I've uploaded a new picture showing NTA graph and Router Packet Loss Dial The web server is hosted by me.

Yea, I run NTA 3.7 and it's already updated to the latest release and actually NTA is the slowest part of my whole Orion setup. More often I have to click several times to actually load the NTA summary page and sometimes it starts loading and stops after 30 seconds and goes back to the Orion summary. /Fredrik

Sorry, no luck. /Fredrik

I had the same situation last week. I started the NTA 2.2.1 -> 3.0 upgrade this morning and it's still running the database update. This process has been stuck at "Processing NetFlowDatabaseScheme.dbConfig file" for at least 2 hours. I DO have a 190gb Solarwinds database but is this normal? Regards Fredrik

I see. Since I only have 2.2 sp4, how can I upgrade to 2.2.1? /Fredrik

No errors during the installations or running the wizard

I've just done some trials with the NCM option and it initially looked promising but I got stuck with the syntax there as well. My problem is that rebooting a specific module requires the input below (Enter keys added by me) router# hw-module module 5 reset (enter) Device BOOT variable for reset = <empty> Warning: Device…

I've explored this suggestion and it's a good one. However the specific code doesn't work unless you are logged in to the server and in my I will not be. /Fredrik

Uhm ,my bad. I forgot to check that Universal poller editor was properly closed. It had hung in the background. /Fredrik

I feel I need to add some input to this thread. I have the exact same problem and nearly the same setup. Seperate engine and SQL server. Both servers 2xdualcore 2ghz Intel, 4gb RAM. Engine has 3x30gb RAID5 and DB 2x148gb RAID1. Both servers are never above 15% cpu utilization when the problems occur. Solarwinds database is…

Ogos I guess we are running the same setup as you do, Orion on the same server as the database. We upgraded from 7.8.5. to 8.0 in december and to 8.0.1 as soo as it was available. Our main reason for upgrading was Custom MIB and Netflow, where Custom MIB was a nice-have and Netflow a must have. A month later and I still…

Sounds most excellent. Especially any improvments made to the handling of large databases since that's my main concern right now.

I can add one thing to my own topic here. After reconfiguring the FWSM to multicontext mode all interfaces are listed correctly. Same number of interfaces but a freshly rebooted firewall. Strange indeed

I've now broken out the database and placed it on a dedicated server and rerun Config Wizard. Same system specs on that server. I still have problems keeping Polling Engine running, especially when I activate Netflow.
