So, just a survey and no daily/weekly questions?
-
I've completed week 3, then it said "Week 2 completed" . I've also had no points awarded at all since the new website was launched
-
I can see my points under my profile but it's less than what it was last Friday. A few bugettes in the new Community website to iron out.
-
For Day 2 , I had the right answer and got it marked wrong.
-
I just checked, today's question is available again and the same 2 answers I provided this morning worked ok this time. Thanks for sorting that out.
-
Me too. The question was "Which of the following are features of DPA". I didn't choose NetPath and got it wrong with the reason being NetPath was NOT part of DPA but is handy for troubleshooting. That needs sorted

The DHCP scope info is obtained directly from the DHCP server by the Powershell script but not written to the SQL database. When I started looking into this, I thought there was a straight forward way of getting the info from the database, but that was for IPAM and we don't use that (hence the script). Is the best way to…

It's still the same after restarting all services

I'm using a component alert ok. In the "Event Log Message Details" widget it does contain the scope ok.
-
Thanks for the reply. I added ${N=SwisEntity;M=ComponentAlert.WindowsEventMessages} to the alert email, but the entry displays a blank line. How would I go about using Powershell to send an email alert from Solarwinds? I know Powershell ok, but not how to use it within Solarwinds.

Hi ImNishant, It's been a long time since I looked at this. I can't see a time stamp field in the database but I suppose it depends on what kind of custom poller you are using. I'm still a beginner at this as a I don't use custom SWQL much, so sorry I can't be of any help.
-
Hi flackovic, This is the first time I've created a table and thought the SWQL would enable the link, but once I selected the "Details page link" for the Caption display setting that fixed it. Thanks a lot

I'm very interested in alerting on routing table changes, even the route table count. When I click on the link, it takes me to a "SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability Demo" page. Is there a a process for non HCO customers ?
-
I've for a starting point of listing nodes (below) with Orion.NPM.CustomPollerAssignmentOnNode.Status but getting a "Not available for tabular pollers" which I can understand. I'll go through examples and find out how to display the table data. Thanks. SELECT n.displayname, p.CurrentValue FROM…

I've been looking at SWQL but I can't see how to query a node with OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.1.1.27.1.2 to get the power supply status. Is that even possible?

Update, I can remove the second table ok, I just can't work out how to limit the table to PSU 1, 2 and 3. Also stuck with a widget with all switches and PSU count
-
I found it under "Advanced", thanks a lot. I added the table to the Node Summary page but I get 2 versions of it. I changed 1 to limit the display to the first 3 table row but I would like to make a max of PSU 1, 2 and 3 displayed, but I can't get rid of the second table which has 32 rows... Any suggestions? What I would…

Got you Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.
-
That worked, just what I'm looking for, it includes the name of the remote site as I wanted!! I would appreciate an explanation of how that works, particularly the [VPN].Node.Caption as I can't understand how that path is found in the database. Thanks a lot KMSigma, I'm going to work on the red/green lights now.
-
Thanks for the reply. That's the part I've got working at the moment. I can display a table of VPN connections and use mw SWQL statement to get the name of which local firewall is hosting the VPN connections from Orion.Nodes. What I would now like to do is get the host name of the remote IP address from Orion.Nodes. So I'm…

Other mail alerts, including the out of the box one I copied are all sending emails through the same SMTP server which is the default one. I'll maybe reboot the server when I get a chance.
-
I did go in to centralized settings and enable L2+L3 unknowns when I initially created the map to see unknowns. Here is the NPM Topology Widget: I'll upgrade to the latest version and see how it goes. Thanks @jblankjblank
-
The alerts are definitely enabled OK. I did check C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion\ActionsExecution.log for emails that have been sent but there is nothing there, including emails from other alerts which is odd. Thanks for the reply

Here is a screen shot. It's not always the same side of the connection that is showing as unknown. The same thing happens with several maps I've created. I'm using NPM 2019.4 HF1 and Orion Platform 2019.4 HF3. I'm a beginner at this...how do I use the Topology widget to validate?
