seems that the values over 100% only happen when I vmotion VM's between the ESX hosts, and the levels drop back to normal after 5-10 minutes.

Ok, whats the status of Orion monitoring ESX 4.0? Yes, it was very disappointing to loose capabilities in Orion when we upgraded to ESX 4.0 and you guys talked about making it a high priority and were activly working on a resolution. That was in July 08, it has been 6 months, have you made any progress? Is there a…

Any real fix for this issue yet? Looks like my netflow just lost its mind again... no DNS names are resolving.... I am running netflow SP4... support had me install it last week to fix a report issue. For now it looks like i get to truncate the table again!
-
when I run this query I get message duplicate key ignored.
-
That worked. Thanks for your help!
-
yes, I am still having this issue as well. I either have to truncate the table, or re-applying the latest netflow service pack and rebooting seems to fix it temporarily.

I am running ESX 3.5.0 build 130757 on 10 ESX hosts, and up until this morning had not seen this issue. I am running NPM 9.1 SP3. This morning, I put one of my hosts in maintenance mode, which caused about 6 VM's to be vmotioned to other hosts. After doing this, I have two ESX hosts with CPU usage over 100%. One is at…

After you login, select the download my software link, and then Download Netflow V3, it is really v3.1, which you will see after you extract the files from the zip file.
-
any update on a fix for this?
-
got it... it wasn't clear it was the new version... the link, said v3 and so did the file name, but when i unzipped it, it was clearly the new release... testing now!
-
I did not see a file count monitor... just existence, size, and change.
-
do I have to have credentials for my oracle database?
-
I too am haaving the same problem... Netflow is useless at the moment because of it... Solarwinds, is there a patch or fix for this issue yet?
-
did you ever find a free version of netprobe?
-
any more specific timing? my netflow hasn't worked since late november, and i just paid $8000 to renew my maintenance, and all support will tell me is that they are aware of the issue and the new version should fix it. This is getting very frustrating... I am paying for a product that doesn't even work, and solarwinds…

having trouble calling this script... can you give an example of what your command line arguments look like?

whats the chances of being able to monitor a folder to see if it is empty or not? basically I am wanting to monitor a failed queue to see if there are any failed jobs.
-
NPM 9.5... not sure if it was that way before the update or not.
-
any update on NPM 9.5? is there a release date on the horizon yet? Right now I am running NPM 9.1 with Netflow and APM and SQL2000 DB locally on my Orion server. I am looking at splitting the DB out to a different server, I have 4867 Elements and the database is getting pretty big. Was hoping to put this off until new…

I am having the same issue...several of my SNMP monitors will go to an unknown state, and if I try to TS into my server, I am unable to. Reboot seems to clear it up for awhile.
-
Yes, I was able to resolve the problem. Solarwinds support had me go into add/remove programs and run a repair.... this fixed the issue. They could not explain it and had no idea why it happened, but it did fix the problem.
-
I ran into this the other day... I was running 12.2.(25)SEF1 on one out of 8 switches... and the others were running 12.2(27)... I upgrade the switch and it is working now.
-
Just trying to get as much information possible to help convince my management it is worth renewing our maintenance. It got cut from our budget, but I'm trying to get them to renw it anyway. Thanks, Gary Sample
-
great work around... I should have thought of that one myself... Thanks for the suggestion!
-
when is this service pack going to be released? Because this sounds like the exact issue I am seeing.
-
did you get a resolution to your problem yet? I am having the same issue and have had no luck getting it resolved.

The ESX addtions are great... We run 90% of our windows environment on ESX, about 100 VM's. How about taking it a step further and addiing the ability for Orion to monitor the ESX VMFS file syatem out of the box. I have a custom poller that does this, which isn't working after the upgrade... but it would sure be nice if…

after installing do I need to create a tnsnames.ora file so it knows about my database? where does that file go?
