Is there a way to bypass the CPU requirements check? we have 8 CPU's assigned but they are each 2.0Ghz running in VMware. we realize that upgrading would be better but we would like to use some of the newer features before we buy the newer blades.

I did better than expected.

I would also like the Unmanage button to link to the Admin users for approval. if a person wants to unmanage a device or interface, i want them to click the button and be forced to put a comment in it and then the request would go to the Orion admin for approval. Once approved the unmanage would only be allowed for the…

I am not finding an easy way to create that report. I’ll keep trying

Thanks. I deleted it and recreated it earlier.

Great. I was racking my brain for a fix.

You actually went to every report and removed the underscores? That does sound like a bug in the system. I am going to submit a ticket for this as soon as I have the time.

That is a good catch. It was set to “None” instead of No or Yes. I am trying to find a location that will let me set the default to no for every new node added, but I can’t seem to find a way to do that without recreating the custom property. Does anyone know how to make that change?

Is there a more in depth manual for the Network Atlas?

Thank you for the link. I have looked this before and the steps can work. I hope they can make this an easier solution. Monitoring and managing the monitoring systems are only 1/32 of my job and i assume that this is the case for most admins.

That is a good one. Since it is the same report and the same database, I would look at an IIS issue. can you see other reports in the website?

I think that is the answer I was looking for. So it is a requirement to have the Dell open manage tools installed before you will get the check box for the hardware monitoring. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply, but i am asking for help, not a lecture. How do you map it? where is the documentation? will th elink show a down status in the map if it is down?

I am selecting one of the canned reports. i used explorer to make sure the report was located in the URL that is stated in the error. the reports are there

You can setup a windows or Linux machine with Nprobe on it. I use Windows. You would span the port you want to monitor to another port that you plugin your nProbe machine and have the nprobe machine send the traffic to your Orion system. it is a quick easy way to monitor individual ports that don't have native netflow…

You can start with the attachment. copy it an place it in your reports directory and open the file with the Orion Report Writer. Normal path for the report Directory = C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports The report uses the Interface caption of "Wan" to filter the results. the report will give you a report that…

Hi Pimp_vader. 1. i have not tested it, but it is logical that your solution should work. 2. You can bulk manage items by group a. from the Home screen, go to the "Manage Nodes" button and select it. b. once you are in the Manage Nodes screen. on this screen you can group them and select them in bulk once they are grouped.…
