  • I realized in hindsight that this was somewhat snarky and also not entirely reflective of the situation. 1. I (still) definitely think that there should be an easy way to relocate the log files off the C: partition so that they do not negatively affect OS performance and availability. 2. The core of my recent issue was…
  • You may want to see this thread, it looks like Meraki has said both yes and no on their end of the bargain: SNMP Polling Meraki Devices (NPM 11.0.1) - How To
  • It's almost comical that there is still no option for this. I did this same dance with the Log Adjuster when I installed VNQM and started using IPSLA. Now I've run into the same thing with SAM; 20+ gig of logging in just under 48 hours. Perfect.
  • Akash / @"KOHLIfied" did you figure out what caused this? I'm having exactly the same issue. Thanks!
  • aLTeReGo, is there another link you your blog post about this? I'd like to read it but when I follow the link you embedded above I receive the message "UNAUTHORIZED Access to this place or content is restricted. If you think this is a mistake, please contact your administrator or the person who directed you here.". I…
  • Thanks for the quick reply! I'll open a case.
  • Alertego, how did you get this view to show up? I have several Qlogic 5802 switches that Orion identifies as fiber channel capable when they are first resource scanned, but once I add them all I can see is a single Ethernet port per switch. We're running NPM 12.0.1. If I go to the device in Admin/Management/Manage Nodes…
  • Thanks for the config options Randy.I tried both of the UnDP configs above, but all I get are tables with data that don't make sense (e.g. "2.4" on the dot3StatsDuplexStatus - Universal Device Poller Summary Chart) or nothing at all (the Alias chart). Any ideas?
  • Can someone confirm if this has moved or disappeared from being configurable in NPM v12? I just upgraded and notice the message "The resource doesn't show all data." is back on some of my views. I went and checked the C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\web.config file but it no longer has the ReportingTableViewMaxRowCount object or…
  • Works great! One recommendation though is to add some info on how you actually use it, either here or in the article that references it (Monitor ports on an external node - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support ). Neither one explains how to actually import the template (Admin/Settings/SAM Settings/Manage…
  • Is there a difference between VNQM 4.5.0 (which I just upgraded to) and the BETA being mentioned in this post? I deleted and re-added one of my CUBEs but I don't see anything new or different in IP SLA, VoIP Gateways, or VoIP Infrastructure.
  • The WHERE worked great, thanks! Now that I've dug a bit more, I'm doubtful on the colors, given that it looks like that's controlled via xml, and it's not worth my time trying to figure out how to import/embed a custom xml object into Orion. The acknowledged alerts part was the key piece
  • Thanks! Certainly pointed me in the right direction, but two things to note: 1. You lose the value of the eye-grabbing colors 2. When I run the code it shows events that have already been acknowledged (and no longer show on the stock "All Active Alerts" table)
  • Has anyone seen this setting revert back (besides after an update)? I made the change in the web.config file a week or two ago (100 to 500). Today I noticed the "The resource doesn't show all data" message on one of my custom views so I checked the file and the setting was back to 100. I checked the WebSettings table like…
