Take a look at the application details view, from there you should see a small gold info box. If you hover your mouse above it that should give you some info on what is going on with it.

NCM and NPM don't use CDP to Discover they use ICMP and SNMP. You can use Orion to discover nodes, it uses ICMP so as long as you can ping it it will show up. It it doesn't have SNMP then it will show up as unknown.

Tcupal, If your node status is down that means that your ICMP packets are not making it to there destination. ICMP is how the node is shown to be up or down. The reason that you are getting information from interfaces is because that information comes from SNMP. I'd suggest trying to see if these packets are being dropped…
