phatboyfromla - I did think of one way to workaround it... If you export (manually or automatically), the date and time the export was created will be in the footer of the export. HTH, Greg

Da Haole - Sorry, the post slipped through my radar. You are correct, there is no way to get the vlan tagging status of the port. We are looking into it though. :) Thanks, Greg
-
SLXer - Usually a repair or re-installation will fix this, as it indicates that the application cannot open the MIB Database, unless it is a permissions issue, which you can circumvent by making sure you have read/create rights in the <Program Files>\SolarWinds\<Your Version> Toolset\ folder. HTH, Greg

There aren't any known issues with NetMon not sending (that I am aware of). You might contact support for help with troubleshooting. HTH, Greg
-
mkomeara - If you download the latest version of the Engineer's Toolset, it will contain a few zip files that are hotfixes to the installation. SwitchPortMapper 9.3 can be found in one of those zip files. HTH, Greg

Kev - I sent you an email... --Greg

Nsblue - I sent you an email... --Greg

John - I did some digging and found where you have already contacted support. One of the reps will follow up with you tomorrow. Thanks, Greg

Wanted to update this thread with some back-channel communications I have had with Gerry... After a re-install from fresh install binaries, turning off indexing and anti-virus services, all is good. --Greg

Ghaglibj - Your configuration is no longer supported, but should still work (we have not done anything to prevent it from working). Since is it no longer supported, we do not test it. HTH, Greg

John - WE have made many changes to the TFTP server since 10.2, might be worth a try to upgrade (we are currently at v10.5). If your maintenance is current, there is no cost to get the latest version... HTH, Greg
-
DaHaole - Are you trying to get the l3 info from a different device, or the l2 device? What does the arp table look like in that device? Thanks, Greg
-
Goose - I replied to your email with some instructions to repair. For anyone else with a similar issue, I suggest that you call our support group for immediate assistance. Thanks, Greg

The SolarWinds SCP & SFTP service is now available in Toolset v10.4, which released to the public yesterday. To download it: For existing customers with outside connectivity: Open the Workspace Studio, select check for updates, then click on 'Download Update' For existing customers without connectivity, you can download…

Curt - it looks like a port is in use... Either UDP 69, or our IPC port. Can you verify that there is not another TFTP Server already running on the machine? HTH, Greg

Have you tried the steps suggested above? --Greg

JasonKV - REG is a command line utility that ships with XP/2000 that allows a user to modify the registry. Here are some questions that might help us figure out why it is not working on your system: What OS are you running on? Is reg.exe in your path? Are you running the update as an adminstrator? Thanks, Greg
-
John - thanks for the feedback. We are currently planning improvements to the SSH Client in the Workspace Studio. Does the client allow you connect after the "server signature" mismatch message? --Greg

wcq-admin - Bridge-MIB support should be pretty standard on IOS and CatOS devices. There might be a few things causing the SPM to report that it is not supported: * Using an SNMP view that restricts access to the MIB (BRIDGE-MIB:dot1dBridge) * Communicating to a device with an unsupported SNMP version (some older devices…

aLTeReGo - That usually comes about when another product has installed the eval version of the same component that we use. Sometimes repairing the install will fix it, or removing the offending app (if it placed a newer file version over ours) will fix the issue. HTH, Greg

Boom2ns - By default, the TFTP server binds to the address "any", meaning all addresses. You can specify one address to bind to int he configuration dialog. Right mouse click the TFTP icon on the system tray and select Open to get to the status window, then select File -> Configure to get to the configuration dialog. There…
-
phantomf4 - (love those old birds BTW) - If it was not a view issue, there are a few things we can check: * Make sure there is no @ sign in your community string. * There are a couple different bridge-mibs. The Engineer's Toolset SwitchPortMapper only checks the RFC1493-MIB:dot1dTpFdbTable, which your device might not…

Congratulations on your new position Haley! The forum will definitely miss you... Greg

ScubaBubbles - Not with VNC, but you can with MS Terminal Services (RDP). HTH, Greg
-
ceclark - From the error messages you are getting, it seems that a re-installation or repair of the .NET 2.0 framework would be in order. HTH, Greg

Neverdye - when the Config Transfer engine gets the config out of the TFTP Root, it automatically deletes the file. We can see where leaving the file might be useful in some cases, and we will add a feature request to provide a setting for it. Glad you like the new Workspace Studio! Thanks, Greg

mlm1393 - The TrapReciever in the toolset is a view-only application. For trap forwarding and other advanced actions, see our TrapServer packaged with our Orion product. HTH, Greg
-
netmonguy - There is a patch for the 9.2 Bandwidth Gauge which you can get in your customer portal that addresses that issue. Or you could also install v10 of the Toolset as well. HTH, Greg
-
craigwoody - make sure you have the latest version (v10). This kind of reminds me of an issue we had in an older version. HTH, Greg
-
Oborys - In order for the IP Network Browser to discovery the device, it must support SNMPv1 and the sysObjectID (that is how we tell what it is). You can use our SNMP MIB-Browser application (turn off V2 requests in the settings dialog) to see if it supports the sysObjectID field. HTH, Greg
