Good to know - so the database can be upgraded/migrated first and all the modules will continue to run until they are ready to be upgraded using your step by step guide correct?

Great step by step approach but how would one go about this if I have my Orion and database server separated out on 2 different machines? I already have prepared 2 new 2016 servers, I've read that I should move over the database first and then focus on the application side.

I will look into the polling MIB...the router has not been plugged in. There is a chance that they may not use any(pen testers will not disclose) but we want to be ready just in case such a device is added.
