If you can send them that would be great. I have a feeling we can work this out for you
-
Almost got me that one but saw through it
-
Any news on this? The ability to automatically swap disks when failed over would be a god send. However the historic data retention is still key.

Today's Question FYI before moaning commences... One of the options shows 2 roles but in the doc shows 1. Ignore it as a typo. Select your answer as if the extra role wasn't there. If I remember right it was for the below. * Configuration management

Hi, You can already do this to some degree... If you manage nodes, tick all that you wanted to change and then click edit. From here you can then change the thresholds in bulk. The same works when your looking at just volumes as well. I can add screen shots if you require.

The amount of people that expect me to be able to fix there Computers or Laptops is insane. I have to explain just because I work inside the IT bracket doesn't mean I do anything to do with PC/Laptop hardware. I mean I can fix them but that's besides the point Also often on dates, when I'm asked what I do I used to say IT,…

I was sure I saw this pop up the other day. Will be sure to link mine

ooooo now you're starting something! Poor middle and upper management has lead to huge leaks in finances. Having had healthcare customers they very evidently throw vast sums of money at things without thinking if its really what they need in order to try and tick a box. They are haemorrhaging money and until that stops,…

All done on mine

It would almost be worth while Government finding a 3rd party agreeing a strategy and then performing gradual mass upgrades and cloud moves. A centralised money pot would also irradiate the need for cost cutting on a hospital level. I don't normally advocate approved suppliers and partners as you can find its been done to…

Voted for you guys. LEM is one of my favorite modules, hoping to explore it further when our implementation size increases.
-
managed to mine although It took me 2 minutes instead of 20 seconds to get today's question. Like you say just make sure you read it properly and don't skim read
-
I paused on that too. But the wording swayed me toward discounting duplicates as its still the same task

Interesting. I have the same issue and gave it 128GB RAM and it ate the lot! I do have 20 Firewalls and 10 Firepower ASA's sending syslog to it. So figured I was overloading it.

Right so beacuse the "Nodes" that the groups are made up of are the virtual machines and not the windows node its where these get convoluted. So I have LDN-TEST1 in a group for example but its the VMware entity and not the Windows entity of the same node. So maybe it would be possible if I remade th groups using the…

These are the only 3 variable options it gives me.

Hey, Thank you for helping, much appreciated. Sadly it does limit it but it then basically gives me the group variables in reports. So I still can't get any of the information I need. I need all of the node variables selectable whilst limiting it to a group or groups.

It would have been nice if they said but it's only available from the customer portal and "offline" install only. It does make sense as a lot of people will have powered down or booted
-
I know the inbuilt web updater tool is better then it used to be but after a string of error's, I just download the updater from the customer portal, copy it onto my Solarwinds servers and install that way. I still find being on the server best for me.

Thank you both! This basically came about as we have applied 3 sets of patches since September and couldn't work out when the Orion core HF 1 was applied, if it was in the original September patch we did, or the one in October or November etc. I checked the logs and saw 2020.2.15300.12766 was present from the first patch…

Yeah sorry that was a very vague and incorrect use of Database. I mean like patches, hot-fixes, Windows updates etc. I don't recommend a 'Monthly' server restart though. I think I remember reading its can cause issues and stress, something like B1Host reschedules the scope of the polling jobs in the system.

@"superfly" try it from the windows snipping tool or a print screen? I to can copy and paste that image but can't if its from my Laptop. Snagit doesn't also seem to work. I'm just hoping I dont have to upload an image to Thwack and the copy it. Being able to paste screen grabs on the fly was a privilage I took for granted.

I do it once a month but many people I'm sure tie it in with database maintenance that you should be doing
-
I think I'm on my 8th maybe, still learning every day. Each one throws up different questions and issues

These are the official requirements.. * A hardware RAID Controller with a battery backed-up write back cache * Disk Subsystem 1 Array 1: 2x 146 GB 15K disks RAID 1 (mirroring) for the OS * Disc Subsystem 2 Array 2: 2x 146 GB 15K disks RAID 1 (Pagefile + Extra Storage) * Disk Subsystem 3 Array 3: with 6x 15k 146 GB or 300…

thegreateebzies Can you get someone to work with cs99772. If you follow the thread a few people have the same issue and its been on going far too long. Mine works fine and I cant replicate it but as a few have the same issue its worth looking into and posting an outcome back here for them. dgsmith80 Have you seen this…

For SQL they do often have an upgrade path so I think you're quite right with that, however this will be well documented. From my understanding Windows server you can go from 2008 directly to 2016. The 2016 licence wont have 2012 built in. Basically they try and make it as pain free as possible. Make sure you have usable…

100mb Shouldn't cause any issues IMO. I've seen them bigger with no issues. There isn't much on this unfortunately and I personally haven't seen it with the collector before. I used to get high CPU with Information v3. Id log it for support and list it as High/critical if you can't use it. They normally respond pretty…
