Would try the stopping and starting of Orion Services. Its good practice too do it from time to time anyway, helps clear resource down.
-
God help me if someone ever looks at my first Solarwinds deployment. Unique would be a polite word for it

Spot on Thank you for all the help on this one.

dgsmith80 is probably in a better position to say but your level of flows in high so a separate DB wouldn't hurt. However from a CPU and RAM spec your SQL box is incredibly capable. How many web servers do you have? And as for disks are they SSD'd or 15k/10k? I'm guessing your raid is 10? and what Raid controllers? This…

Did they ever try an arrange that webex with you?
-
Hey Peter, I'm thankfully on to bigger and better things, I had just been there for too long. It was my first IT job. So a change was needed I will have a think about any other options. I never actually got an outcome from my original post, it just started working which was strange.
-
Ahhhh okay just seen your message before. I was left scratching my head a few years back about reboots that hadn't happened, until I learnt that SNMP service restart can cause that. I would be inclined to concur with your first response
-
Cool keep me up to date On a side note I've got this post open here.... Twack Account Location changing by itself And I've noticed that yours has also changed to UAE, I'm guessing you didn't set that?
-
thegreateebzies Would a Dev be able to have that Webex with cs99772? And then report back when the issue is corrected. Again mine is fine but it seems a few people on this thread have the same issue as the OP
-
Oh completely! Its why they swapped back from fastbd (I think it was called?) to MS SQL again, great decision. I'm just curious about the number for nodes and elements in general You might have seen higher spec'd SQL Servers but to me 768GB is a mega sized one. But then saying that I have only worked on a environments with…

Whats the level of down time you're allowed? Personally I would follow the method above. I have limited SQL knowledge but Solarwinds installer does almost all for you after the upgrade to a newer SQL. If you're allowed I would just stop all services and do in place upgrades. The chance of major issues is slim and if they…

That's a nice little alert there I would double check for gaps in data first. However from seeing that alert I'm guessing there will be. Did it just start happening one day all of a sudden? If so next time it happens shut down all Orion services in Orion Service Manager and then start them back up again, see if that brings…

Try looking at this. Might not fix but worth checking.. High CPU load in SolarWinds NPM service - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
-
Might have found a way If you type in stack into reports you should see a Cisco one that has already been done by Solarwinds. In there, there is a field called Asset ID. One would assum that if you added an ID on the physical device under Asset ID it would display in that report... Or change the device description in the…

Hi, Sorry to be a pain, I am now getting two sets of results this has been highlighted. Also im pritty sure that these all shouldnt be 100% at least a few would be 99% Any idea?
-
Thank you so much, Its worked perfectly You have really helped me out here. Grant
-
I second this approach. Only way I found to do it.
-
Okay glad I'm definatly not alone. I tried Chrome and Edge. The whole insert image through source and then sizing it is awfully long, when you just want to add a quick screen cap or something to help with a post on here.
-
Thank you for this info, saved us from wasting loads of time. jonathan.johal This will help you out as well
-
Thanks mesverrum and sfleagle after 6 years of using Solarwinds products I've just realised I'm blind as a bat Mega Face palm
-
Just a quick one, I've applied the top SQL you sent me however I don't get a running total. I have tried to have a look myself but failed to get it to keep a running total. I just get the below. Ideally the count needs to say 1,2,3,4 ect. Sorry to be a pain. Test count…

Your a star, Thank you for your help Would be lost if people weren't so helpful on Thwack.
-
I was just explaining the same thing to a customer. Great summary
-
Also I see you linked 4.4 make sure you got for 4.6 NetFlow Traffic Analyzer 4.6 System Requirements Unless you wanted 4.4 for a reason.
-
cs99772 Did Solarwinds ever fix this for you?
-
I can confirm that you do still get support. I have been running two DB's on the same server for over 6 months now and still got full support when I needed to change some DB tables.
-
Thanks for replying Its really nice to know you still read these threads! Thwack is one of the main reasons I do love Solarwinds. I appreciate this is a tough one and like you say staying ahead of things is tough! Appinsight did that really well for an all in one solution for SQL monitoring for example. It certainly made…

Would love that feature and a match size feature. Its so annoying having to manually try and match the size of multiple objects. I often use the circle icons and sizing them equally is down right impossible.
-
@shaun_9999 was Alterego's bit any good? Looked like it might be what you're after?
-
Morning Peter, Unfortunately I'm no longer with Comtact, but I'd get them to log you a ticket. James should be able to do it for you. Failing that try deleting the template all together and re adding it. I'm guessing you have swap templates to the 2012 ones anyway? So the above might be pointless. You can also try…
