I sure didn't expect to be reading this. I am quite shocked. RIP Lawrence! My prayers go to his family and friends for his loss. He will be missed and remembered!

Congrats swf5002@psu.edu!

I believe that all should be separated. Corporate networks should not allow users devices connect unless from a specific controlled area (Internet zone, dmz, public access area).

Good read! I don't many environments where you can keep everything the same. At least not in environments of any size. It sure would be nice to have nothing but Windows or Linux, but that usually isn't a real possibility.

Congrats all!

I had no issue. The right answer is there and makes sense.
-
I agree too! I would have equally rated a few of these

As always, love the articles

i agree with you completely. Security cannot be stressed enough. In the world of IT, everything is vulnerable! You are always a target! It is just a matter of time. All vulnerabilities cannot be addressed. That will never change. Just have to reduce the target and hope for the best!

SolarWinds VM is a nice tool from what I have seen.

Looking forward to seeing who wins. I sure would like it! lol. Good luck to all!

Remote work is becoming more and more common. It is a good thing. It just makes sense.

I like this mission

We haven't looked past NetApp, but I would not be opposed to taking a look at the smaller ones. Usually, if they are good and can be reliable, it would not be a bad move. A bigger vendor may eventually buy them and use their technology or philosophies. There is a reason the big boys buy them up. And there is a reason why…

Congrats nystateofmind ! Good job on the story. I can't wait to see the comic strip.
-
It sucks then. Just kidding. Good job!

I completely trust my wife, because she has always been there for me and never let me down. She is more than my best friend.
-
Looks like you all had fun, except for the miserable food. Food is supposed to be a perk!

Mine has been posted!

DBs are the Achilles heal if not done right

There were quite a few of us that were in the running. I don't think the missions should be too easy. You usually have to work to achieve something. And the prizes were worthwhile too! I know I may be one of the few, but I'm happy with the monthly missions and their difficulty level. Good job SolarWinds Thwack team!
-
I so agree!
-
I want to see how the Apple thing plays out too. I just don't think the government is in its lane on their decision to ask or even mandate something like that. Too much government!
-
I just went looking for this feature today myself. I am also in need of it for multi-site installations.

Kiwi is OK, but I am not too much of a fan. I would go and do go the LEM route before using Kiwi.
-
Sounds like a really good idea to me. Just my 2 cents...

Perstack is everywhere

I think it is Kirk too. He is too famous.

Awesome job everyone!

Sure, it is possible to use the unproven NETCONF YANG to program the network, IF it were actually supported. One day it might be. It is NOT now and is a far way out. But let's just say that it was and you were to use it. What happens when you mess up a configuration when you are using a NMS to communicate with the network…
