When I click on the blue yellow or red policy violations with the number of violations, it does not open a window that displays the devices with the violations. Maybe its my version of NCM
-
It would be nice if each report allowed you to click on the actual violations
-
You are really rolling this stuff out CourtesyIT. Good job! I know you are helping a lot of people with this.

Since these are created using separate reports, each report contains policies and rule sets. All of this is stored in the actual database (in 6+ tables) and is not stored locally in the SolarWinds server. To do a bulk import, a SQL query would need to be developed to place all of these reports, rules and policies in the…

Quick question on this. Do I really need administrator permissions for the orion monitor user?
-
I can't wait to see the new release!

Thank you for the roll up CourtesyIT. I have some more that I am working on. When I post them I will be sure to add the links here as well. Thanks again!

This is used for the earlier versions of SolarWinds NCM to ensure the correct commands are sent to the devices, for things like config backups and sh version commands.

Here are the feature request links: And here is a list of all feature requests. It also shows what SolarWinds is working on and what is already done. Network Performance Monitor Feature Requests
-
I think a whole lot of us want this feature. It has been a feature request for at least 5 years now. I can't wait to actually see this make it into a NPM release. It is a much needed feature.

I got it working. Here are the exact steps. They are a little different than the KB link above. I did not have internet access from the machine that I was accessing Virtualization Manager from. I had to do the following: Deleting the Flash cache I located the Flash Cache directory on the computer: On Chrome:…

Did anyone find out exactly what to do if you don't have internet access

I don't know that this is correct. A 3850 is a switch ans doesn't have anything to do with ucs. I think you are trying to trigger on the wrong thing. Even if it were to use the same fan, this would not be the correct alert trigger. I'll look to see what the right fan trigger would be. You may have to add a udp if SW…

I am having issues with this as well. I keep getting license issues. The licensed socket amount keeps bouncing around on the Orion side. It also would like to know more about this free poller. I would like to turn the old appliance into this. And I want to keep the data from the old appliance. I want to still use the old…

I just saw this. Yes, we are using it in our environment. It is very efficient and seems to be a really good system. Let me know what you want to know, if you still need the info.

Someone is almost there ... CourtesyIT

If you are talking about the Backup job in NCM, just go to your NCM server, open NCM and then go to Schedule and select Display/Edit Jobs. Then double-click on your backup job (Nightly Config Backup). Click the Nodes tab, and then select either "Specify Nodes Directly" or "Specify a Selection Criteria". If you do "Specify…

This is what you are looking for. SW PowerShell Bulk Unmanage API script

I really don't think it will work like that. The polling engines have the specific nodes that they poll. If one goes down, the other does not take over. If you need redundancy, the failover engine is needed. The failover engine takes over all of the down server's tasks. You will need a failover engine for each poller. If…

I am currently working on a way to do this. The views don't look very good and there are not a lot of MIBs in NPM that have vfiler information. I do have a Universal Device Poller Resource that has a little bit of info in it for a vfiler. It contains the name, the status, the number of IPs, and the UUID. I am working on…

I am very interested in getting Netscaler flows int NTA, as well. I hope it is coming soon.

So here are a few simple ones. They are real easy to use. One for transferring the IOS using tftp and one for scp. You may have to change the system description field in the template. ASA IOS Transfer using SCP ASA IOS Transfer using TFTP Let me know if you need any help. The .bin IOS files need to be in the root directory…

What version of VSphere? Also look here: Enabling/Activating SNMP on ESXi 5.1 Host | Geraldo Magella Junior Configuring SNMP v1/v2c/v3 Using ESXCLI 5.1 - VMware vSphere Blog - VMware Blogs

You can collect SNMP traps. The traps will show the exact times interfaces went up and down. You can also trigger alerts off of them if you wanted to.

Do you know when the current versions of the SolarWinds products are expected to be approved on the Common Criteria portal? I think they have been in eval for at least a year now. I know the older versions are already certified. I am mainly interested in the certification of NPM 11.5.
-
What are the specific versions that are now authorized?
-
Have you tried to set the timeout on the application monitors to a longer period of time? It may be that you have a lot being queried and it is taking to long to return results, so it times out and shows unknown status.
-
Do you know what version of NCM and can you post a screenshot of the Edit Job schedule?
-
If you were to send me a basic config of yours with the "variables" that are always changing, I can get you started with a template. Then you can add and delete from the template. I'll post it for everyone. The one I have will likely not work for your environment as it is specific to my environment.
