Very good Idea! Here we need to filter by department. We should be able to filter event without seeing the events from other departments.

Looks like I also have Broadcom onboard cards mounted on a IBMX3650 machine. The NIC model is BCM5709C. Driver version is 5.2.17.0 (2009-12-28). It seems that the latest driver version is 14.4.8.4, which was released on march 18th 2011. Did you tried to update the driver?

Hi jbehrmann, We are experiencing the same issue, but with NPM 10.2.2 and SAM 5.0. I think this error is occuring once an hour. Is your fix solved the problem? Thanks!

This feature is also important for us. The management needs reports to illustrate the efficiency of our alerting process. Looks like the alerts are not historical. I can't get statistics for previous month and I have a 60 days event retention. They seem to disapear after the incident is resolved. Also, I've tried with the…

Hi there, I have the same problem with NPM V10.0. Looks like we're unable to acknowledge alerts because the checkbox is greyed. Also, we can't add a comment to the acknoledgement because it says "Comment (read-only)". I have full administrator rights. The right "Allow Account to Clear Events, Acknowledge Alerts and…

Are you still working on a solution for this credential issue? We wish to monitor windows service status with WMI but we can't have admin rights on the servers. This is not accepted by our security policy. Do you have an easy to deploy workaround. We have about 500 windows servers. The least steps the procedure will have,…

Hi HemiTruck, Thanks for your answer. 12k elements may be true because I am running NPM10.2 and we have performance problems since we reached that number. However, the server resources are not su busy. We have plenty of RAM, CPU and the disk queues are almost always at 0, with some very quick spikes. Within the next year,…

Hi there, No I don't have the answer, but I would like to know it! Please if someone here knows if Orion is able to poll devices via an SNMP proxy, I would be pleased. I need this feature because here we have many routers that are managed by 3 different telcos. One of them requires us to monitor via a SNMPv3 proxy. Thank…

I understand your point, but what if someone unplugs and replugs en interface very quickly? Even with 30 seconds polling, NPM will not be able to detect it. It will also overload the servers (we have more than 40 000 elements to poll). Have any idea?

Yes there is one good reason for this. Orion needs to be independent from any infrastructure component, including the domain, the SAN and the corporate database server. If an incident happens to any of these infrastructure component, we need Orion to be fully functionnal so we could use it to diagnose the incident. For…

Hi! I got a similar error, but I don't know where to find the log you are talking about. Can you tell me where it is so I will push my investigation?

There is also a Wireless controller feature in the Juniper SRX series firewall. We are using a SRX240 mutiservice router which controls 5 wireless AP. I don't see anything in the Wireless dashboard.

Hi There! Did you find a solution to this problem? I guess I have the same issue as descibed in this post. I also have many juniper 4200 switches. Is this related? The weird thing is that once the problem happens, Orion is unable to ping two or three devices. To make these devices reappear again, you only have to ping them…

I agree with your point. It is now common to have routers, servers and many other devices with many IP addresses and interfaces. Here, I have to configure multiple nodes to monitor one device with many interfaces and IPs.

I dear friends, We've been working with IPAM v1.7 for 3 months now. It is quite a nice tool since we had to manage IP addresses with two separate excel sheets before. However, with nearly 150 subnets to manage, we quickly have some needs that are not coverd by IPAM features. For example: -we can search for IP address, but…

Hi there, An interesting feature for IPAM would be a "unauthorized IP address detection" probe who can send an alert when someone configures a static IP address without asking for it or without using DHCP. This would prevent duplicates IPs in our network. Orion IPAM is the bast so far. Keep up the good work!

Hi, Do someone have any news about this feature request? We have many users with different screen resolution and we are always struggling to make views that fit for everyone. I also agree with Chris. Fixed widths has been fixed in browsers for years now. A modern monitoring system shoud support relative column width.…

Hi everyone, Does anyone have an answer for this post? I beleive that adding a comment when acknoledging an alert would be very nice. For example, we could add a ticket number with actions taken. For now, it is read only and I have full admin rights. What's wrong?
