  • Thanks. So it's as I suspected, one giant 7 day bucket for each metric? If so, IMHO that has very little value to many organizations. At minimum there should be two buckets, work hours and non-work hours. Anyway, I'll put in an enhancement request. Maybe it will find its way into some future release.

  • To discover you may not need the MIB, but to monitor it you will. As deep as the MIB library is, it seems it should still be there? Your community string on UPS is same as switches? Any ACL/security features on it blocking you? Is SNMP actually enabled on the UPS?

  • Maybe consider doing this with traps or syslog? I like to get hard failures real-time, not wait for polling. Plus, if I understand correctly, to generate an alert from polling you have to save the data. Saving a gazillion pieces of binary data (up/down) is IMHO worthless.   • Worthless = stuff like, "describe the 7 levels of licenses". 50,100,250, 500, 1000, 3000, unlimited? That type of thing is just annoying, and would prefer not to spend 1 second trying to memorize that. aka, worthless.
