I've been working in IT for 37+ years... Technologies come and go.Keeping up is hard but required... You are right to say find something you like or are curious about... then go after it.. Get your hands dirty and play... It's how we learn.. Most of all enjoy because it's never dull!!!

wow... interesting results... the couple of people I know that own them tell me 53-55 mpg is good... so getting 70 is impressive... wish I had my dad's old Rabbit Diesel.... 50 mpg... not matter what..

My kids used to ask me what I did when they were growing up.. They thought I turned all the computers on and off. My response was... " we when daddy's phone rings, it isn't people asking me what I want to do for lunch!" As for my wife... " how late are you going to be..."

I love that you call it BYOD 2.0 ......so true.... Richard is right.... usually the entry to the organization is through another department. This new "CRITICAL" item (aka - toy)..... needs to be there for some reason, and usually not well defined. Unfortunately, IT plays catch-up again.
