Decided to add to the B.E. it's been a while... From Run of the Mill Publick House (Saco, ME) Not Your Mama's Meatloaf 13.00 We stuff our home-made meatloaf with spinach and cheddar, then wrap it with applewood smoked bacon. Smothered in home-made gravy, served with our garlic smashed potatoes and veggies. Meatloaf wrapped…

I am not sure you can ever get to 100%/100%. Certain industries (financial) are getting pushed to encrypt everything, but the practicality of that is just not totally there yet. That said, the next cottage industry will be encryption hacks..... like sharks following a blood trail....

Nice stuff.... sounds like you need to come up with a giant thank you because "I owe you"... idea.

We do restrict access and have all kinds of filtering, but trying to stay one step ahead of these guys is a challenge.... I think social media apps like Facebook have desensitized users thinking that "everything is real".... Thanks pseudocyber for that tool... will install at home...

It's been three years since I had to put my cat and buddy Oreo down. He would crawl up on my desk and then slowly try to lift my fingers away from the keyboard because he wanted to be petted. Most times he would just walk in front of my line of vision and stand there, looking for attention. If I was working from home and…

Great points... Love the graph!! I learned early on... automate... automate...automate..... 1. Because I hate repeat tasks. 2. I hate manually doing anything! 3. we get busy and distracted on other things and forget....

Great point Jfrazier!!! Optimization is most definitely not a set it and forget it process. The more we do, the more we find.... I've always likened it to maintaining an old car, or in my case an old house. You are never done, and at times what is need to be done is downright suprising. Outstanding article kong.yang...…

Learned the hard way to annotate when I got a call three years after I left a company and had someone ask about a piece of "temporary" code I wrote that had an original shelf life of 4-6 months asking why I did something the way I did. (answered my former co-worker politely and then reminded them it was intended to be a…

Data is the currency of the 21st century. The greater the value, the higher the price on the legitimate and illegitimate markets. Collection of data is not a game for the faint of heart. He who has the most wins.... and then controls the market. The profitability potential is mind blowing. If you care about your privacy...…

Elizabeth Warren and Silicon Valley - As a former resident of Massachusetts, I can tell you she will always win because of her liberal politics, but outside Boston/Cambridge and other progressive areas, her politics and ideas area pretty much met with a meh! or a pronounced head scratch at the least. In this case she has…
