This might help - it picks up failed logins and the IP address. You may have to parse it out if you need to automate it. Finding the Details Missing from the SQL Server Failed Logins Audit - Eitan Blumin's blog

@"the_ben_keen" Week 2 Day 10 - poll Page Not Found https://thwack.solarwinds.com/resources/thwack-command-center/b/polls/posts/do-you-have-a-solarwinds-certified-professional-scp-certification

Week 3, Day 5 - here's a link that works: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-alert-integrations.htm Hint: there are 2 correct answers. See the "Configure the integration" section.
-
Day16 "How many database sources can you document and analyze with Database Mapper?" I've looked at the 'hint' and I'm none the wiser. It's a very vague description, and counting the ones actually listed I can eliminate 2 answers. Now the quandary of Pick a number, or go with the equally vague "As many as you need". Think…

Happy Star Wars Day!

I think it would also be a useful feature on normal alerts as well - e.g. SQL Server Job Failure, I'd like to run that daily at a set time like 7am so that when I get to work I can check for overnight failures etc. We can set the interval on the alerts, but in some (many?) cases it would be really useful to be able to…

Yes, like the price, if it's not in $US ...

Yeah. 'Merica. What are these timezone things? (It's open - finally! )

While I agree with @cmartin2 that indexes are not free, I still think it would be useful to see an indication of a missing index as part of the diagnostics. It's not compulsory to add the index, but it may aid in the analysis of the problem.
-
I'll just point out that Q.7 hint link may show the pricing in your local currency, while it appears that the question is assuming that everyone sees $USD. I'm sure you can all do the currency conversion from there

FYI, @"ramkaza" I was just looking at the Admin Guide for the new 2020.4 RC. It now mentions monitoring for Db2 11.5 (and 11.1) is supported. Whether there's any attempt to use new Db2 monitoring features, I don't know.

Yay! I won a Raspberry Pi. But I'm not eligible.
-
I'm sure that's really useful, but I'd like to see ones for Db2 and SQL Server.
-
Seems to be for both Q.13 and Q.14 now. Seems something has THWACKed the hints page...
-
Day 8? I agree, looks like multiple choice. I have messaged ChrystalT about it.

thanks!

The power is on, The lights are a blinkin' My ports have been blocked And this line doesn't rhyme....
-
DB2 here
-
@"yumdarling" thanks, tried from home and can see the question now!

I think this is already requested under https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3486 - although that was only mentioning the subject, you can add a comment for the body as well. If you have some ideas of what sort of things you would like to be able to customize, it would give the developers some direction.

Is the for the SQL Server Job Failure alert? Or something else?

joshcb wrote: The question and answers are absolutely written correctly. People saying they aren't need to read the answers more carefully and maybe think. And people making smart-a** answers need to realise that the answers were updated before they saw them. But thanks anyway.

The answers appear to be very appropriate for the occasion
-
No, but if you look to the sunrise you may find inspiration.

Same here - I'm sure they will fix the poll soon

Week 2 Day 6 - @"yumdarling" incorrect link in the hint, should be https://thwack.solarwinds.com/events-missions-musings/events/solarwinds-lab/b/solarwinds-lab-archive/posts/solarwinds-lab-episode-91-customizing-the-orion-platform-with-the-solarwinds-api-and-swql

"Use the Force" really should be an acceptable answer to Q.9 given the theme we are running
-
Day 20 poll link doesn't work. @"kpina" @"danielleh"

Q14 doesn't seem to be accepting the obvious answer - it's not blanking it, it's not accepting it. It just sits there mocking me
