NG, do you have any specifics about SolarWinds adding NetFlow functionality to Orion? Could that be in version 8? I saw a demo of a monitoring system that took advantage of NetFlow and the information you can pull is impressive. -Mike Mike

I have had some success monitoring Sun servers through the use of Net-SNMP (UCD-SNMP) http://www.net-snmp.net/ It allows you to run the Host Resources MIB on your Sun servers. You need to setup an SNMP agent that uses the Host Resources MIB. We have had good luck monitoring CPU/disk/memory with Net-SNMP. Look at the post "SunOS and HP-UX" from 8/20. Mike
