ok that explains a lot .. it doesnt work like I thought it did .. so really I would do a trigger action like this CPU load is greater then or equal to 95 Suppress CPU alerts is equal to NO So that would fire off all CPU alerts except what I have marked YES or True ?

thanks for the pointers all - really appreciate them as I suck at setting up these alerts .. I know what I want but when i get to the variables and statements I get a brain fart sometimes .. Steve

To help narrow it down, let's take the "Status is not equal to 0" out of the equation. If you set it to "Status is equal to 0" does the alert fire? yes when I changed it to is equal to 0 they all fire so in theory not equal to 0 should work when they switch over to battery - not sure why i didn't test it that way - thanks…

zackm​ so this was the strange part - the node itself was up and responding to SNMP but the F5 stuff wasn't sending any info back - i had the F5 eng start with restarting the snmp service to see if that would resolve it and it did. This all happened after he upgraded the version on the f5

I am actually seeing a few of these data is not available on some of the hardware health sections - they show up on the right hand side with values but the charts are blanks with that error message

yea even upgraded to the new version and still had an issue where I need to restart the service yesterday afternoon to get flow data - going to open a ticket up

yea thats my fall back to adjust the threshold - its this one its pretty chatty and I have talked to the AD guys and these are all linux based appliances or devices and are normal - as you can see its been chatty in the last 24 hours Attempted to logon using explicit credentials event 377 times in the last 23 hours

So do I add the node for example https://www.mycompany.com as a external node and then assign the template to it - thats where I am kinda stuck on - or do i point the template to a webserver node that has the web sites on it

No happened after all the new upgrades , i have also found a few more and a lot of nodes that say they are not managed but really they are so I am going thru the built in Virtual view and re adding all these servers as managed nodes again and then going to remove the old ones and try to get them correct before turning on…
