Hi William_Powley, This NPM thread might help answering your question, take a look: About your following question, I don't think you can do this in NCM, this is an NPM 10.1 capability

We are still watching the requests (I added your vote). To the above comments, we have a much wider support than Cisco: Aruba, Meru and more recently, we added HP Procurve MSM. Ruckus is definitely on the list of wireless controllers that we are watching closely, but we have not made a decision about it, yet. Thanks for…

Hi, The ruckus AP's are not supported by NPM (i.e. as wireless entities, of course, as noticed they appear as regular IP nodes). There is an enhancement request opened for that (49523). I have added your votes to it. The UnDP can't help for the wireless page content, but you should be able to get more wireless specific…

Close enough to be added to the same requirement. Tks

ok, I suppose you are aware of this report, or have an equivalent, but just in case: Since your requirement seems to be mostly about the searchability, I can see the following improvements - Productize this report pointed above, so it's OOTB in NCM - Add a Location column - Make sure it's editable in NCM (this one is not,…

We are very interested in this. The way I view it is this: - Completely agree with the fact that having the same threshold across many devices/elements is not good (unless we are talking SLA, but it's a different topic) - We have a lot of thoughts about this and we call it automatic baselining. In other words detecting…

Just to make sure, you are talking about for a group of interfaces, for example, a report that would display the avg of the most busy hour, knowing that the busy hour is actually potentially different for each interface during that day or week teh report is applied to?
-
This should also help. We just introduced a new product which covers this: FSM, Firewall Security Manager, more here. It is Athena's FirePAC product.
-
Created an enhancement (81855). Thanks for your input Paul.
-
It means that some of your requests were already opened in our requiremeent tracking system, by other users. The ones that are new will be tracked by a new enhancement request (number above). Unfortunately, we cannot give details about what enhancement will be available in what release & when.

Hi, No progress on these issues, but UnDP is definitely on our list of areas to improve. No date that we can talk about at this time. Francois Caron - Snr Product Manager

NCM has a feature called ‘Config Archive’ (see File->Settings->Config Archive). This is the place where all downloaded device configs are backed-up. By default this is’ C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\Config-Archive’ folder.

Hi freemen, Are you talking about how to turn on the user-level device login credentials feature? If yes, the method is still the same as in ncm6:1. First of all customer need to turn on this feature: run NCM win32 application, got to ‘File->Settings->Device Connectivity Method’ and select second option2. Edit one or…

Not sure about specifically what relates to "domain admin accounts", but this issue is a well-known issue that has been looked at several times by dev (53232, 19090) At this time we have not found a workaround or a fix for this issue. As far as we know, there is no bad consequence happening behind the scene.

Hello, I tried to create a UnDP on this IP SLA OID, and format it as an "IP Address", and got this. Is it what you are trying to achieve?
-
Hi Marco74, I am not aware of any setting required on the responding side either. As far as I know, MIB refresh on the Cisco side, withing the agent, is close to real-time. If you SNMP poll every 5 secs, you'll have refreshed data every 5 sec. Back to your question, I don't see any other explanation to the fact that you…

I have created a list of future Change Request Approval improvements that you can vote for here.

Hi Wal, Mostly because of amount of requests. Agree native support is better, but hopefuly the UnDP will help for the time being. I am adding this request for native support to the already open requirement (41810). Tks for your input.

Don't see a lot of activity for this one on Thwack. If you decide to give it a try, this assistant utility might help:

Hi ctopaloglu, Sorry to hear about your disappointement, but as you can imagine, being community driven does not mean we have the bandwidth to do everything. Also, some customers were able to perform successfuly minimal integration of their F5 devices, with the UnDP. All that being said, we see the F5 as a growing…

This is still on the list of improvements to implement. Added your voices to it (90042)

As explained in the post you need to go to your customer portal, download the new version of the MIBs.zip, and check that your OID has been added with the Universal Device Poller.
-
I'll ask dev

Thanks all, great feedback. Jspanitz, I will contact you off-line about your UnDP requirement.

Are you talking about having a new resource that handles "errors" only and not "error and discard" as shown on first snapshot below? I'll record an enhancement for that (69405) but for the time being you can probably: - use this "error and discard" resource and "edit" it after the fact and select "errors" only (second…

No update on this already identified request (53484). Note that in this HP document: http://cdn.procurve.com/training/Manuals/r531/MSM-M111-SNMP-MIB-RG-May09-5992-5934.pdf the HP Procurve 410 is listed and NPM 10.1.2 happens to support it, so it's really worth double checking whether or not 10.1.2 works against the MSM765…

Hi rgward, This "Policy Violations" resource is fairly static and cannot be customized. We have opened an enhancement against this (92147), so the user can select the reports to display in the resource, as suggested by Nandish.
-
No, probably nothing to do. If the MIBs were correctly implemented but you had very little or no traffic, then they should report a bunch of "0's" and not return ""A value cannot be returned." So what you should see in NPM is charts with flat lines close to "0" but not "no data message". Based on your description, it seems…

Interesting feedback, tks ekonowal. I'm adding this to the already opened requirement (80757) and we are certainly keeping an eye on them.
