what tool do you use for this trace? If the UnDP (Universal Device poller), you might want to use of of the formatter that will help decoding IP addresses (Show advanced options – Format). You should not need a transform, a formatting should be enough to display IP addresses.
-
Hi Nizar, take a look at this thread, this might help you.
-
This device downloads its config as a ".pkg" file and not text file. NCM can only handle txt-based config files (no binary or other format). There is no workaround.

I'll let other users elaborate on your question. I have found this other thread touching this topic:
-
We just introduced a new product which should help: FSM, Firewall Security Manager, more here
-
NPM does not support any of the 3 that you list.
-
No trace of anything of this nature from other customers in our record. The best is to open a support case and be prepared to take a trace (Settings) when teh problem happens.
-
Hi Netkomp, Have you looked at our IP SLA Manager product? http://www.solarwinds.com/products/orion/ip_sla_monitoring/ Francois Caron - Sr. Product Manager
-
Hi jawells We will consider this for future evolution (62878)

We are investigating (43403) and will post answer here shortly. Are you still running 10.1 (as indicated above) or more recent version (10.1.1? SP1?) Thanks networkguy09 Francois Caron - Snr Product Manager

Unless something else filled the hard drive on that server, but I am assuming you have checked that. I just looked in Thwack and our bug DB and I can't see anything looking like a known issue. I also pointed the support guys to this, see if they have an idea. What version of NCM do you run?
-
Right, today we do not, but are thinking of it. Are you asking about 2-f Authentication when the human uses the NPM interface (code would be given along with login/pwd) or NPM using a soft token when connecting to the devices? I am adding one "vote" for this requirement (25005)
-
It is supposed to be port 22 (I'll double check) Have you looked at the trace content when the problem happens (settings...)? Don't forget to turn the trace off after
-
There is a blog post explaining how to proceed here

If I understand well, this might be more a question for Tipping Point. Let's see what the community has to say. In the mean time, wanted to make sute you saw this other thread:
-
Hello, Might be other solutions: you could create custom properties in Orion (NCMDeviceUserName, NCMDevicePassword, NCMDeviceEnableLevel, NCMDeviceEnablePassword) and fill-in login credentials there for each node in Orion. After that it should be possible to setup the import job to import these properties to NCM (just set…
-
If I understand well, you want the NCM Job Scheduler to send an email to a list of configured recipients, for every Job "enabled". Did I get that right? (65227)

Hi, You can display trend line and extend their time span to the future in order to get a linear-regression-type prediction. You can do this on detailed charts on most metrics (CPU, memory, interface throughputs) by editing the attributes of charts and playing with the custom time period. We are thinking of more…

Good proposal (102233). Would like to see others chime-in if interested too.

Hi Larry, Recording your request to show policy violations on Map (64074). As far as policy violation on the node detail page, this is something you should be able to customize. Navigate to your Node Detail page, Customize Page, add a resource (green "+" sign), select NCM Common - Resources that applies.. / Policy…

great post travisj. Great use cases: - helping the ntw guys "defend" himself from people blaming the network by default - discover unwanted apps on the network (especially bandwidth eaters like Pandora) - finding out whether it was the network or the application. Speaking of which, can you elaborate on what was the mental…
-
Hi Kaorlo, On your first question, this is not supported. This is well identified, we have made some progress in 10.1 (Interfaces are supported) but the general use case is not yet. Francois Caron - Sr Product Manager.
-
Is it teh same objective as what you described here?
-
Hi jspanitz We are looking at this (91415) Like always, thanks for your input.
-
wow, impressive tks for sharing!
-
Hi Superskippy, Happy that we could find a workaround for you. I opened an enhancement (65216)
-
I will contact you off-line with a few questions about this.

If you create such an NCM job (daily), it actually creates a Windows scheduled job. If you open the Windows Task Scheduler (not NCM's), you should be able to find your NCM task and see options to run it more than once a day. This snapshot shows the indows Task Scheduler (2008) opened on an NCM 6.1 scheduled job (called…

All we have is in the custom wizard. I'm sure you have seen this but what I would do is use the fully meshed type, then use "select all" link in the wizard, for sce and dest nodes, then unselect the unwanted operations in the "review" step (yes, there will be some clicking there too...) I have created an enhancement…

Have you configured the protocol you want to monitor? See page 16 of this guide http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/SolarWindsPacketAnalysisSensorDeploymentGuide.pdf Also, you need to define the server that supports Exchange as a managed node in Orion. The recap table on page 6 might help you checking that…
