  • Are we still in the scope of what a Network Configuration Manager product should do, or is this a separate product?
  • Hi, Can you try this and let me know of your thoughts o Step 1: Go to Setting->Manage Accounts o Step 2: Select the desired account and press Edit o Step 3: Set the “ConfigsTab Menu Bar” to “none” o Step 4: Submit and verify that the Configs Tab has disappeared for this user account
  • dclick, I'll contact you off line.
  • Hello, It's because the difference between the 2 versions of the DLL is not picked-up by our installer logic, hence not updated. This is something we are working on, in terms of installer improvement. So basically, we recommend deleting the current DLL and running the repair
  • We will contact some of you to see if you are interested in testing a solution described here
  • I like the idea of integrating policy checking (and remediation) during the process of adding a new device (manual, discovery...). So you know that any device you add is basically clean from a compliance standpoint. Is it what you have in mind?
  • Don't know what happens. I suggest Opening a case if you don't see someone proposing a solution here soon.
  • Hi Copter, Assuming you have the UnDP piece figured-out, creating alerts on UnDP content is described here, is the NPM Admin Users Guide: http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=OrionAGCreatingAlertsUniversalDevicePollers.htm
  • Hi Netlogix, Not sure you could satisfy his use case with Regex. So let me make sure I understand the base request: you'd like to build a dynamic group query, which would automatically put in the group, the IP's from 10.0.0.1 to 10.31.255.254 , based on your example Did I get that right? To help you if you can't do the…
  • Videos we meant in addition, not in replacement of the written doc. Some people find them easier to digest, some don't. We are looking at what we can do to answer this post (list of changes).
  • This is actually fixed in the next version of NPM (10.2), which is currently in Release Candidate (RC) state. We would LOVE to see some of you give it a try and tell us what you think. Here is about the other great things in NPM 10.2 and how to sign-up to receive the RC.
  • Just to make sure we open the enhancement the right way, in the scenario you describe, - is the node that support this interface reachable? - if it is, what is teh status (oper and admin status) of this interface, as retruned by the MIB? Unreachable and down are 2 very different things. If it's trully unknown, we should…
  • What vendors, familyofcrowes? Note that the UDT beta with Wireless (and performance improvements) is coming soon now. You can start registering here: SolarWinds UDT 2.5 Beta Participation Survey
  • Whatever vendors NPM supports in the wireless views will be leveraged by UDT, so in particular the ones you are listing here. Meru is in the list as well.
  • The UDT beta with Wireless (and performance improvements) is coming soon now. You can start registering here: SolarWinds UDT 2.5 Beta Participation Survey
  • Nothing obvious on our side. I recommend opening a case.
  • Hi John, Thanks for taking the time for this thorough input, which I have captured in an enhancement request (66801). This one, along with several others on the same theme (UnDP features and usability), are well known internally and we are conscious of the limitations and the pain involved. As always, we can't give any…
  • Hi daxvancamp We have a hot fix for this, that you can get by creating a case with the support group (assuming the versions match - as asked by Marie)
  • Similar issue in this thread. Might be related: I recommend contacting support.
  • The most likelly explanation is that it's actually not the same device, because this resource on Orion Node Details page is displayed for devices which exist in both NPM and NCM application. How has this device been added to NCM? If this does not help, please open a case.
  • All, Tks for your input. We are still looking at some form of CDR / CMR support into Orion. I'd like to get some sense of what use cases are of highest priorities for the community. If you are interested to "vote" and comment for your favority use case, please do it in this thread, just reply and put your use case ID(s) by…
  • Hi Jkeberle, I'l contact you off line about your CDR requirements. Having others express their CDR interest in this thread will help us prioritizing. A few word on your use case (accounting, troubleshooting) and the retention needs (should we keep all fields? what retention period?) would be of great help. Thanks to those…
  • this might help: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-167207
  • Hello, We have an enhancement request opened for this annoying behavior (85941) Thanks for your input.
  • Will contact you off-line to make sure I understand what you are looking for. Tks for your input Paul.
  • Hi Byron, The issue you are talking about has also been discussed here: In the section "This will provide the expected view, but you will want to know about the following behavior of the system: If the Account ACME user can modify the URL ..." Long story short, this issue is identified but has not been fixed yet and is not…
  • Hi, This is already identified (19951), would like to see others, if you think this is important.
  • The new Compliance Report in NCM 7 has sorting capabilities, based on all columns. We don't have this for the Config Change Report (but it's sorted by default based on node name in the Win32 interface) but we plan to improve this in the future.
  • Have not seen anything in our knowledge base and bug database, that looks like this. The best is to contact support.
