the link to manage the SAN using a web FE is https://SANSERVER:2372/login If I set the provider ports to 2372 I get cim_err_failed as the return from a test. If i leave it as default I get Bad_request.

You can use Switch port mapper. It lists the IP address of the connected device Hope this Helps Frank

If you monitor all the ports of your main switch, you may be able to see which ones show an upturn in traffic. and start looking from there. Sounds like a Broadcast storm.
