Since you have an external script, you can create a trigger that calls an external application, but after a set time: first alert is an email or whatever you need, maybe restart services. Then you can have it wait XX amount of time and then call your script. Make sure you test on a dev server.... :-)

I am having a very similar experience. I am in a meeting showing the capabilities to management and there is no data. If I unmanage and then remanage it starts working again, but that is unacceptable. How can I alert that this is occuring? How can I prevent it? I have over 400 application monitors and over 1000 components…

Piling on with others.... We have all our systems in the same instance with 4 pollers. We use a custom field called "DEV" to designate if it is a DEV system. That way we can exclude them from alerts and reports easily when needed. Custom fields help alot with this type of stuff.

Currently the only way I know to do this is with an HTML resource that pulls the URL to the netflow resource. A little sloppy but the data is there. As time goes on the integration only gets better.... :-)

I as well could use this functionality. We are getting ready to purchase the APM and start our Tivoli replacement. Do I need APM for these types of funcionalities? Can I see active services via SNMP? Thanks!!

You can leave the netflow exporter as is. The netflow receiver needs to be an NTA poller. Then the NTA poller stores the data into the flow storage database. Ends up a pretty easy upgrade.... good luck!!
