If it did SIEM stuff then they would be competing with their own product LEM. So I highly doubt it can perform that type of correlation. (I wish it did though :-) )

Does the alert say to trigger when NOT UP? in other words maybe you can set an alert that is specific for the status and therefore the alert would be active and pnly alert once for each device.

Wow... sorry, been so busy I missed all this..... Kate did fix it.... Here is Kates update: They have 3 pollers; APM is primarly used on the 3rd poller although it's installed on all 3. My first thought was Job Engine which I replaced on all 3 pollers, but no luck. Noticed that the APM Poller was throwing errors saying it…

Is there an ETA for SAP monitoring?
-
Is this still available in 9.5? I cannot seem to find this view anywhere. I also need to do the same thing for events.... Thanks
-
No still waiting as well Thank you
-
My company would like to see this as well. This would be one of our main views and would save significant time and confusion for our lower tier engineers.

I should have stated that this is an AIX system.... Log Parser is a Powershell thing.... But I am taking your advice and looking ant modifying a PERL script to do something like this. I'll check in with the gurus. THANKS!!!

We upgraded out development servers and have had very few issues if any. We do not have any additional pollers in dev, but the system seems stable. We plan to upgrade production with 4 pollers NPM, SAM, UDT, NCM, IPAM, VNQM, WPM and toolset April 7th. I'll do some more indepth testing on dev and post my results here. The…

Very cool, I'll try that and see what I can pull. You explained it very well! THANKS!!

Multiple IP's per devices is a big one. Routers and layer 3 switches prove to be an issue. We would like to show in the node details page all the vlans and subnets that are on the system. Thanks guys!!!
-
DOH! That does work, but I have about 50 people who use Orion and they complain constantly about this. Stupid but I was hoping to make this a direct thing.... They'll live.... Thanks!!!

Without I would be fired.... :-)

I see what your saying but.... I call about my LEM product every so often and I know when a call comes in from Idaho, I'll get an answer, Brian, Ann and Nicole are terrific. But like bsciencefiction.tv says, after hours support for the other 10 products I have it VERY hit or miss. Plus I agree the people in Austin all seem…

Will do. Fun fun fun! Sent from my iPhone

At this point we have a tool Opnet AppInternals (used to be Panorama) that has an agent on 25 of our systems that they want to replace with Orion. But to do this they need to monitor JE22 memory usage statistics. So if JMX is needed then I will let them know. SNMP is on all of our servers so thats not a problem. Would I…

We are looking forward to this feature. We have been burned many times when devices do not get added correctly due to human error.

Kudos to dev team... you guys listen and we love it!

I am trying to get filtered events to work under 12.0.1 Anyone know why this would not work? https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-107687#start=25

I saw wher you can do it in maps, but we need it on our dashboard. We have a project to do mapping, but with our massivly limited resources it may be a while....

So, your saying that I can open the IPDB with SQL studio and manipulate it that way? I'll see if I can free up one of my DB admins here.... not an easy task.... I'm not an SQL guy at all.... Maybe a good place to start studying :-) Thanks

DOH!.... ummm yea.... Looks like I'm asking before I think on this one..... Thanks!!!!

We are actually in the process of buying the LEM, but it would be great if SAM and LEM could just work together. I have many log monitors that would not be needed if I could have the LEM share its info with SAM.... and NOT with a trap.... I hate traps.... the whole separate alerting engine and all...
-
I agree with you. This would be similar to the SAM real time process viewer. It would just remotly allow you to browse through the logs, not download, just browse. This would be EXTREMELY helpful to my company as well. love the idea!

I can't really post whole pages, but I would be happy to do a GOTO and show you guys what we are doing and our future plans...
