this would be fantastic. Today we use NATs to know some of this data. NBAR hels for the bigger companies.... but custom definitions would be a big benefit

Are you talking about basicly monitoring the HMC? If so I NEED that ASAP...

This would be HUGE!!! 70% of our servers are VM and the ability to see flows between the VM's would be huge. Big gap in our visibility. Could you pull it from the Nexxus 1000 switch if its there?

I would LOVE/NEED to see upgrade time decreased. We used to have 2 upgrades a year until the upgrades were taking upwards of 10 to 12 hours. Now we do one product at a time (NPM, SAM, NTA, etc...) monthly. And just one product can take a long time when you have many additional pollers and web servers.

why cant an IP on a device be similar to an interface? Or even associate it with the interface? I can choose to monitor an interface, now just add the layer 3 part of that interface and it becomes a child of the parent node.... plus it can be a checkbox in list resources...

I think this could extend pst NTA. It would be great if we could add resources to NPM that are LEM data. Things like, a device has flows that are unusual, so I click it or rt. click it and load a LEM screen specific to that activity.

This is great, since we use events for reports etc. but we only keep events for 45 days due to the quantity recieved. But if it was for alerts history, then we could keep a years worth since the quantity per day is much lower...

I got todays question wrong and have NO idea why.... based on looking at the demo I can't see why I got that wrong.... Danielle, can you let me know what the answer is offline? Thanks a bunch!!

this is such a pain. This goes for bandwidth as well, when a router is upgraded or even just an interfcae its makes it VERY hard to show last years performanace or flows for last 2 months...

Meraki MX's are pretty carefree.... BUT alerting is subpar and thats where a monitoring tool can help with that single pane of glass

AP serial numbers would be a great addon as well

Servers change, they are upgraded and they have additional roles at times. Plus new monitoring requirements come up all the time. We do nothing but add to this system and WMI is the preferred method. Plus if we are watching custom apps with WMI we might as well move the whole system to WMI. I would LOVE it if we could do…

Since NCM is already doing this for vulnerabilities, maybe this could be an NCM request?

This data would need to be in reports and exports. Exports from nDepth would be highest priority. The on/off switch would be awesome and a local (on LEM appliance/VM) arp table would be perfect for faster lookups.
