It's ridiculous IMO to deprecate a function and provide no way to convert. If you've spent years crafting custom reports in the older version and need to fully recreate and QA test in the new interface, that seems like unnecessary busywork.

SAM 6.2.0 I know from this thread (and other reasons!) I need to upgrade to eliminate some of the "cannot create secure channel" errors, but I was more wondering if there was something I was missing when looking at the debug logs. Thanks
-
The purchase of the license upgrade to unlimited SAM licenses went through and the license was applied this morning. The polling for this monitor is now working. I'd still be curious as to why the polling status stayed at "Initial Poll In Progress" for days if this really was a licensing issue, and what happened to change…

All other data collection is fine. We are currently experiencing an overage of license use (req for more licenses is in with our purchasing department as we speak!) so now instead of "Initial Poll in progress" there is now a licensing related error. That's progress I suppose. Once the licenses are purchased and applied,…

Sorry to jump in on an older thread, but is anyone else not getting anything useful out of these debug logs? I had the same situation, enabled debug logging for that app monitor, and the log doesn't shed any additional light... 2018-01-10 08:49:32,475 [STP Pool:402 Thread #0] [C45985] DEBUG…

Thanks for the response. Any suggestions on how to use Solarwinds (including other modules) to get to the same kind of information from JVMs (including per-application performance data from within a JVM) as we can get for Exchange, VMware, and other applications? Are we barking up the wrong tree using this piece of SAM to…

I can also reproduce this on IE11 on windows 7 as well. Anyone have an idea on this?

Sorry for the late reply - for some reason replies don't show up in the RSS feed for this forum. This node is polled via SNMP. If that's the cause (i.e. that it isn't polled by WMI) should I get a warning or something when I set up the application/service monitor? If I go to the Node properties screen, click on the Service…

Can you expand on this? If I understand OP's question, s/he wants to be able to show both server status (basic up/down, warning/critical status on resource thresholds) and SAM status in a single view. I have an open support ticket where I'm being told that you can't combine NPM and SAM status together in a single group.

I hate to hijack an old thread but we're seeing this exact issue with the exact path in our WPM logs. Generally speaking, we're not seeing this path in user profiles on other machines (we checked a combination of W2003, W2008, W2012 crossed with different versions of IE; yes, we enabled the ability to view hidden…

Gah. Thanks. Alert was based on the application, not the component, which is why I couldn't find it. Thanks
-
Thanks. I've upvoted that request and will try to kluge something in the meantime. I really really really don't want to manually manage these maps once they're created.
-
Thanks for the response. I can't seem to find the correct item under the "Set up your SQL condition" dropdown that will validate that SQL. Whatever choice is made inserts the beginning of a SQL statement pertaining to that object type. That text field can't be edited, and the SQL pasted from your comment doesn't validate.…

We completed an upgrade to IPAM 4.0 this past weekend and the page buttons now appear correctly in IE.
-
(167 row(s) affected) after running that in SQL Mgmgt studio... That now shows expected results when simulating the alert - only the enabled components are shown with current/correct status. Is that an artifact from the conversion of the alerts to the web engine or is this script something I'll need to run in the future?…
-
Haven't had a real one triggered yet, but definitely seeing it in the simulated alert.

I'm working with Govind on this issue in our environment; We can see the mbeans list on the left, but not all items in the tree are able to be added to the right side of the wizard screen: StartTime/Uptime/BootClassPathSupported in the above screenshot have checkboxes and can be added to the right. The other items listed…
-
Gah. That column wasn't enabled in the Process Explorer. Adding the command line filter works like a charm. Thanks!
-
Thanks, Jiri. As a follow-up, we installed fiddler and are closer to getting an answer with Oracle. We're able to see the cookies etc. and to see where the SSO handoffs occur or fail. Thanks
-
I can reproduce it under IE8 (yeah yeah I know, corporate standard) on Windows 7 as well as Firefox 27 on Windows 7.

D'oh. That would help wouldn't it? I'm trying to show the various transactions and steps from recordings in WPM. I've removed some of the items from the screengrab below but each row of green boxes should be transaction status then each of that transaction's steps listed horizontally. When I create the map in Atlas, it…
-
Thanks for the response. Wouldn't importing the edited XML file and saving the transaction count as a change in the transaction and update the player/cache?
-
That option is in the "Send an email/page" action under Trigger Actions in the alert definition. Go to the Alert Escalation tab, and either disable "Execute this action repeatedly while the Alert is Triggered" or set that to an interval that works for your environment/SLA.
-
Thanks. We'll keep this in mind for future instances of this. We ended up spinning up another AWS player and moving the transactions over to it. Still not sure why those accounts disappeared...
-
I had this issue as well. You need to duplicate the Trigger Condition logic in the Alert Suppression tab then add the differential logic related to the suppression. There's a "Copy from Trigger" button on the Alert tab to assist. Not too intuitive IMO. The UI leads one to believe that the suppression logic is a secondary…

An additional annoyance with AppStack - the popup object summary that appears when you hover over any link on a normal page appears right away. Not so in AppStack. It takes a while for the same popup to appear when hovering over any of the unlabeled green circles. Anyone know why that is?
-
I think I have a pattern to repro this - can anyone copy these steps and reproduce? * Go to the Manage Nodes page (https://solarwinds/Orion/Nodes/Default.aspx) * Search etc. and get a listing of multiple nodes * Open 2 different nodes in new browser tabs * On each new Node Details tab, go to the Management widget thingy…

Looks like I have some options to investigate. Thanks everyone!

You may be overcomplicating this - criteria 1,3,4,5 might be simplified if you use custom properties to ID the specific boxes you want alerted. Also, IIRC, if you're going to use criteria fields in categories other than the main one listed (Volume) then you may need to use a complex query to pull those other fields.

Did I post this in the wrong forum? Should this be better asked in the NPM forum?
