I am pretty sure you can do this by hand editing the test for the variable to a static one. Just copy, edit, and rename the test and use it over and over on the template. I have four websites checked on one node.

You know, you could see if you can license stuff from the Kiwi syslog product Web Service provider as well... Again, to start off with, the Kiwi syslog server instructions are just another hack. Self-signed and get out of there. For someone selling and marketing a SIEM product, this is the poorest representation of…

There is too much "white space" and too large of a font in the new renderings. It is line wrapping too many things in View boxes and send listings down screen to huge scroll lengths. Old v11.5.x New v12.x

NetPath uses TCP with limited TTL in a manner "similar" to tracert/traceroute. However, because you can put it on any TCP port, you can diagnose certain "QoS" issues if they are based on ports for prioritization. One of the limits that I have found so far, though, is because it is TCP based, anything that terminates the…

Actually, you can see this in their samples above. In the legacy view, there are 9 items below that "Red" node on the left. In the "new" view, there are only 2 items below that "Red" node. And this is with all of their line items staying single line. Start having any of them wrap and you can extrapolate what would happen.

So, what is the logic for no SAML support?

Everyone always misses the obvious, lightly roasted always has more caffeine... Dark has more "flavor" but less caffeine... Well, to a point.. How do you "measure" your coffee to brew it? With a scale? With a scoop? If you measure your coffee by scoops, light roasted coffee will have more caffeine. Since the beans are…

Kellie: Cases have been opened for all of the broken items and many have DB query resolutions that will hold me over until GA. 1. New User Popup will not clear for members of active directory groups. (Forced setting into Group name of table... Takes popup out for whole group) 2. New usage setting popup for NetPath and…

Probably because old report writer could display in legacy engine and Web Reports are in Apollo... Or, I suppose, vise-a-versa. Odd, indeed, though....

Yes, well support and I have both tried that many times. Blanking the values does not seem to work. They keep some sort of background value and continue to display as such. We are working on IIS locked Files, which do occur on occasion on servers utilized for SharePoint. But the count is a running total since application…

What is the current status? I would really like to orchestrate node adds with numerous custom properties out of teh VM builds from Terraform.

I run all this stuff in a Virtual Environment. Give me a shout via e-mail and I can guide you on the IP/DNS name/dual NIC/"other stuff" configuration issues that you can encounter and I have a fix for pretty much all of them. "other stuff" includes Additional Web servers, Additional Pollers, and VMan Integration; all of…

Uh, yes.... I thought the sarcasm was intuitly obvious....

And still no support for Oracle ZFS Appliances.

Going on three weeks now of NCM 7.6 communication failures ever since the NPM 12.1 and NCM 7.6 upgrade. Some days it falls over in 45 minutes. Other time it will run 12 to 18 hours. But, eventually it cannot communicate with the "NCM Server" which, of course, it the same darn server.

Nice! So, so cool..... You should do more of these....

Seattle had 58 out of 60 the last time I checked...

SW, I am right in the middle of a conversion from old equipment in a legacy domain to an all new deployment in a new AD hosting Domain. Right now, this week. Is release close enough for me to considering deplaning my new deployment so I do not have two major builds in a short time frame? Or, build what I got and come back…

I have moved on to a new company, so I cannot go back and check. That was is 2013, about three years a go. Here, I will have to see if I can find some servers using Cluster Shared Volumes mounted on directories instead of drive letters. None so far...

Actually, we just ran into this. No way are we going to eval on a Production environment. We have way too many modules in play. We created a Test/QA virtual environment and then instead of allowing a continous QA environment like Microsoft TechNet, we find that SolarWinds wants a 50% charged for cost plus maintenance to…
-
So, go acquire Dynatrace already..... Before HP or someone who does not know what is going on grabs it and screws it all up. It sure would work great in parallel with the SolarWinds current products. I've looked and run others, but only those ruxit guys truly "get" the "low touch" requirement for monitoring…

Oh, add to that the http to https conversion and the use of an F5 load balancer and/or CNAME over the Additional Web Servers..

At Umpqua Bank we were done with analysis by Tuesday afternoon, booked emergency changes and patched by Wednesday at 11:00 PM. Full use of NPM/NCM on this one. Awesome use case.

My production cut to NPM v12 is on the Change Control books for June 6th. FWIW My new systems "soak" is approaching 5 weeks. Database was copied to new server on April 26th and build(s) proceeded from there. NPM v12 RC2 over 11.5.3 was deployed via "assisted" session, which had a full UX and PM observation in tow for the…

I am looking for enhancements over the current Big IP F5 instrumentation. Do you know if the F5 appliance enhancements, such as alerting via pools, or alerting via nodes is going to be a SAM functionality or an NPM enhancements? This is one of the major enhancements we are looking for in 2016!!!

The default font sizing and the white space between list items in things like Last xx Events is still taking us to excessive long screens (Over six pages sometimes) In part, some of it is the font because many items that were one or two lines now wrap within View panels to four and five lines, And with white space…
