Dang! Was looking forwards to it, but the F5 View falls over in my environment...

Better now.... <smile>

Over Achiever warning!!!! But, but, but, ... It is June 10th in Guam. Why do I have to await it being June 10th in Austin? I have a weekend to start!!!

NetPath also dies at the firewall. Will not punch through unless something else is configured. Internally works. However, some very strange math going on, as the first hop, (on UCS equipment no less) has an absurdly high indicated number... Internal... External..

I thought you could see these if you were deployed on MS Server 2012 R2 and the curretn version of SAM

Agree with foonly!! Support often has me rerun Configuration Wizard. For some reason that is in all support staff playbook. (Like I did not just do that two weeks ago, duh!!!) Anyway, even with the the check-off to not mess with bindings, guess what? It messes with bindings. I finally found a stopper for this. Leave a…

OMG.. Look what I just found in the VMan instructions. Basically, a we refuse to help you statement!!! If you receive "Untrusted site" errors after adding your certificate, see the KB article about Accepting an Unsigned Certificate. Adding a certificate from a certificate authority Warning: Even though you can add a…

Hey, those UtiDEV guys are alright. They even have a forum discussion as to why continuing to promote self-signed certs as a "solution" is a totally awful practice. Why no *Programmatic* SSL/HTTPS endpoint registration in UWS? - Web Server *PRO* Questions and Bug Reports - UltiDev For…

The issue here is not, "Can I make it viewable?" Of course I can. However, on the front page Summary, the Net Engineers now have about a 6 page listing of Active Alerts instead of about 2, maybe 2 1/2 pages. The stickler, though, will be for some fiends of mine that run NOCs that just rotate NOC View screens on 60"…

Where are we with the custom pollers for Dell iDRAC direct SNMPv3? Did someone post one yet?

SolarWinds Tech Support and I both tried blanking the "Locked Files" portion of the IIS AppInsight to keep a SharePoint server from going yellow, then red, as the users butt heads on some uploaded documents. However, it does not work. It does not even change the yellow and pink level bars on the view chart displays.

swf5002: Also, beware of using certain virtual machine types as sources for NetPath polling. We found in our case an almost 11ms to 10ms padding on the 1st hop, and then subsequent scoring issues on next hops as the earlier hop times are subtracted from the later hop totals. They gave me a custom .DLL to resolve this in…

Come on, seriously, they build an iTunes app... How hard can it be to write the queries..? Oracle ZFS Appliance Monitor | Oracle I know that they want me to work with Oracle Cloud to do this instead of SolarWinds: Enterprise Manager Plug-in for Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance | Oracle But, I think it is all documented: Oracle…

I truly do understand things cannot be done "immediately." This, though, was first surfaced over three years ago... It is not like Oracle is shrinking....

So, hey, I just found out this would not be all that hard. You just need to use this content. It would work straight up in Windows servers. On your CentOS type boxes that are not necessarily setup for X-Windows, you just need to build a web interface to the same commands/scripts. Using the Key Management Utility…

Hmmm... Interesting. I would recommend attending a few of the Hands On Training sessions at this event. You can see real usage of APM in a fully deliverable fashion.... Hands-On Training (HOT) Day | Dynatrace Regards...

Look at the step descriptions for the Palo Alto GUI. Sweet, is it not? Import a Certificate and Private Key

Oh, just realized, there should be at least 10 ms to 12 ms on that internal Portland to Spokane link. Right in the middle between the two unnamed vendor MPLS gear. Very odd that it does not seem to indicate such...

Actually, last week, before the holiday, I captured the same screen, same "View", side by side from the same browser in the same Chrome frames so you can see an look from v11.5.3 vs v12 RC2. Sorry, did not have time to post before getting out of town for the weekend. You can see it gets way "ahead" to start with by way of…

You are confusing things a bit. For the Solarwinds Agent, if you care to do your agent deployment directly on the server with an RDC session rather than push it from a Polling Engine or Core, then there is only one port required to be open towards the polling engines or core, and that is the encrypted traffic port of…

Chris: No comment yet on my August 18 query?
-
Yes. I had to do that as well. Had to follow the full revert to old Syslog/Traps instructions. Then when I put on 2020.2, instead of Log Analyzer, there is a "Feature" Choice to install Orion Log Viewer that will get you back just the base function. This was not totally obvious in the 2019.4 install; as they really wanted…

Richard, Did you happen to put out an SAM/APM Template? If not, I'll try to clean one up and put it up... Ed

No go... I got all these, and they do not return values...

However, this DID NOT work on my additional polling or web engines.
