The new stuff in this one: calling GetInterfaces() on the node to get a list of interfaces that can be bound to the Repeater, and building an <img> tag in the body of the Repeater. I took the URL for the image tag by copying the URL of the kind of chart I wanted, finding the spot in the URL that had the interface id (looks…

That is correct! We actually had a link to it from the node details page so it didn't load every time. We were really used to the view that MRTG with routers2.cgi gave us and wanted to do something emulate that. If you looked at the one I did it was pretty simple. We've been able to diagnose some random problems looking at…

Thank you for your help. I've added the performance monitors and I'll keep track of them.

I'm on the phone with support right now. It looks like there might be a problem when EOC and NCM are installed on the same server. We stopped the EOC services and some of the stuff looks like it may be working more correctly. For reference, we have NPM, NCM, EOC, NTA, APM, and VoIP Monitor all installed on the same server.…

I just looked at our engergy wise page and it isn't working properly. I've got 4 switches configured. Right after they were configured I got a nice graph, but now it looks like what I've attached. I've got a case open (111218) for services crashing and I wonder if this is related.

I haven't had a chance to dig into it any further.

Brandon, I've been looking for more details but I haven't been able to find a pattern. The alert in question is the only one that uses a UnDP for data. When it fails, it fails exactly as I pasted above. When it works, it looks great. I haven't seen anything other that working or failing as above. At first I thought it was…

I believe that feature will be coming at some point. The Kiwi product did that and I'm assuming there are plans to bring the majority of that functionality to NPM. As for the syslog, why do you want the syslog on both servers? Is it just to trigger the configuration download? If so, I think it might be easier if you…

I've seen that and I've also seen when the SNMP service stops it resets the counter as well. I was testing the node reboot alert when one of our servers started cycling the snmp service every minute or so. I got an email each time the service reset.

It would be great if we could manually edit this for special conditions. We have hacked together a "solution" but it causes an error to be thrown when we manage/unmanage a device.

I opened a ticket on the UI showing as conflicting on the pie chart. I was told that this was expected behaivor as the exclusion criteria were not used in the report. I suggested that it wasn't very helpful for the report not to include the exclusions as it would be easy to fool the interface into thinking something…

Ok, I've got all 5 of those setup and pointed towards LEM. (I noticed your PS as I was typing this post.) So far, I haven't see any data. I event went to a site to get blocked. I have them both set for facility local7. Do I need to change LEM to be something like local 23?

There is an import option called "EnableOrionImport" I have that set on the True/False custom property I have. It will only import items that have True set on that field. When you build the job there is an import Tab, when you click on it it will start what looks like an import job. Just fill it out and you'll get what you…

I played with the same thing for quite a while and ended up having to use syslog to get it to work correctly. There was another trap I was getting but its value was never consistent and if I remember correctly it was like it was being sent multiple times. (Which was almost worse.) In the end we had a few other devices that…

Our DBA's created an alert of some kind that checks the last update time in the database then sends out an alert if it's more than 15 minutes out of sync. I can get the details of the alert if needed.

I was under the impression that the MIBS file didn't fix the unknown or incorrect model being displayed. I thought it required an upgrade. Is this assumption incorrect?

If you consider this critical information, I believe you can configure your ISA server to act in that fashion. You would basically stop using it as a proxy per say but instead have your default route point towards the ISA server. (You'd have to be able to look up public DNS addresses as well.) The problem with this…

The SystemOID is probably different. Check it and see if it is and you can create a new one to test with.

What happens if you telnet (or ssh) to your controller and type show run? (include the ?) I get the following: (Cisco Controller) >show run? run-config running-config (Cisco Controller) > The run-config command shows how everything is configured but not with the configuration commands. The show running-config shows all the…

Thank you very much!

Should the VoIP service show up in the Orion Service Manager? It doesn't and I've looked through just about everything I can think it would be and still nothing. I'm going to attempt to reinstall the Netflow Module as well.

Thank you for the information! Are there any files I need to look out for as well, something similar to EOC? Edit: Also, how is the license handled? The servers are going to be named and IP'd the same as the old ones.

I think its a combination of trending/baselining. I know there's another vendor that someone is brining in and that's one of things they say they do very well. They keep track of day to day useage and then can alert and do other things based on increased useage. It sounds like that's what is being asked for. If I know that…

Yes, that would be great!

Thanks for the post! I ran into the same problem today and that fixed me up!

Case # 69738 opened and diag file going now. Eric

I'm going to bump this. We are doing a WAAS proff of concept and CA brough in NetQoS at the same time. It looks like they can pull the stats directly into their product and that the WAE's can send the flow data to their collectors. It might be something for SW to look into.

Not a problem at all... From what I see, everything looks right. I hit enter on the text value and another line poped in.

Thank you!
