We have a couple 6800's too with the FEX at the edge. I've recently found out from Cisco they are going to prematurely drop support for these!!! That's why we're switching to all 9k's... Cisco kinda let us down pushing those FEX on us last refresh cycle!

That'll be nice having 10G to your servers!

These will be the years when we finally start getting AI/ML that does some real stuff...

That should be a crazy rafting experience!

The emacs vs vi thing has been going on for long time. To me it seems more programmers prefer emacs and system admins prefer vi. The one good thing about vi though is it's on every unix/linux system by default.

Also it's pretty hard to you anything cloud for some kinds of data... you just can't control the security... IK the dod has been pushing for some certified gov clouds but I can just see when the first huge leak happens.

Always room for improvement but Observability On Prem, splunk, OnTap, Tenable.sc, MECM, RH Satellite, etc. do the job pretty well.

I have to disagree about Apple... I've seen this show before... they better start innovating again soon. Pixel camera night mode is a perfect example of what sitting on your laurels will get you Apple.

You're correct about Europe... they've been chip and pin for years now... about the companies in the US... their track record isn't so good so! You can't hack this!!!! And the new chip and pin bank machines that will give hundreds is the bomb!!!

My survey closed before I could enter my username ecklerwr1. Now it says I already completed the survey but I didn't? And yes I use Observability on Prem and DPA.

I used to use my phone if something was blocked instead.

I was thinking about 10.x Orion when we would modify the the installation to add functionality. This isn't really necessary now but then we had to reapply each change after updating... and updates back then were much more let's say involved. I did just realize I already have an account on accelevents so maybe it was from…
