It's all about managing risk and RMF - Risk Management Framework is the solution in the DoD space today... NISPOM is done and buried now today. All new information systems go through RMF process and are required to going forward. I have to admit security is better and more solid now than ever before. It really does work…

Lol those darn bandwidth hogs!
-
It's really just a way to package the pieces so it's easier for users to buy and manage.
-
Even with all the genetic engineering it's hard to not go with the classic robot enhanced cop story. Six years changed a lot but they did really good with RoboCop.
-
It's really about time actually... Orion pretty much started as a Cisco monitoring tool.
-
There's a few that I can't find a way with Orion... also I don't have SRM module.
-
Lol Thomas is giving the talk to the hand to Leon!
-
Hey someone from Arizona at least won! woohoo!
-
It would be nice to have a Solaris agent.
-
Many smaller things could be outsourced to the cloud I suppose. The bean counters aren't going to ignore the potential cost savings for some. In many industries it will be much much harder to ever get anything onto shared infrastructure... the security implications are just too severe.

I think for today's you should just go by the main page linked to... I've been so busy lately I can hardly spend too much time here on thwack but it's good see friends like Jfrazier! Also it's a database that went GA in 2019 so that's a BIG hint.

Not a huge BB fan but those Cubs are doing alright I think this year!
-
Maybe we need a new 12 Step program for Network Monitoring Engineers!
-
I suppose that's how they get paid for more calls.
-
Wow this is pretty neat how it works. I can really see how application devs would like this Kevin.
-
I actually didn't think this question was hard at all as originally stated but I use the tools all the time and like bsciencefiction.tv says... You know if I thought it wasn't fair I'd say so ;^}
-
Solarwinds tools would seem to really help with this. Less alerts but better alerts is how I try to do it.
-
Lol I used to live in German Village in Columbus OH... does that count?
-
Facebook is becoming the new MySpace... can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned.
-
Gal Gadot has probably been spending most of her time in Hollywood or NYC is my guess lately... gotta do the TV and show rounds promoting the movie I'd guess? I'm sure she'll be a hero in Israel now though to lots of little girls... along with everywhere else around the world perhaps.
-
So ur going direct then... no proxy probably.
-
This would be cool as would interfacing the new atlas or whatever it's called with visio somehow. Visio is how I made my maps anyhow... I used visio to create the background for Atlas then added the live aspects in overlay. I've always thought NTM should have never been a stand alone product from the beginning and it has…

Seeing which ports are being used between different parts of the application on the network is pretty important to figuring out how to lock down the application to only the communications paths that it needs to function.
-
It's all good and a nice mini mission this month!
-
Boston Dynamics is bad ***... period.
-
This is awesome mission @"ChrystalT" ! I'm the the process of getting ready to roll out HCO Advanced and DPA (since you'll give me license with HCO). I know my DBA will be psyched for this! Coming from Orion background for years... I can't wait to have all the modules! Bill

I wouldn't hold your breath and go get beers!
-
It seemed to work for me.

I think farmers have been hacking their super tech tractors for a while now and I'm sure that also has some kind of DRM... When the security gets in the way of things functioning I'm not a fan. I'm glad they're making it so you aren't in some legal jeopardy if you need to do it.

This would be nice for sure!
