Go Bucks! I lived in Columbus for years on a bunch of streets and got my undergrad there in Computer Science! rileymat

The dummies one was painfully simple though... hehe! Nice and short though! DART woohoo!

Watched the whole thing over and over... even from 2:07 on... I may have to put it down for a few and come back to it. I think it's pretty obvious why Spiderman is in the question... something he makes but for the life of me what's the dang 5 letter word about. Wish I was more like this today:

Many of the same requirements we have certainly would apply to your environment as well Rick... no doubt. I think these recent changes are going to be good for the tool providers like SolarWinds for sure!

I've been a mission master before gotten all 12 months correct. These days I'm just trying to get entire months correct without one red X. I must be slipping a little? So far so good this month but watch out for today's question I had to read it a few times and don't overthink it. If it's in there it's in there.

We've had good experience with VMware. We also have a lot of Citrix stuff due to merging of two companies. The latest thing has been the roll out of NSX in the enterprise.
-
I can relate.

I'd say perfstack and even appstack for some people there are going to be the big hits! It really is a new better way to look at correlating data in a visual way that's pretty flexible for being so new still!

See you on the other end of the rainbow! Goodbye Thwack 2.0! You know we loved you!

In the customer portal where downloads are change the little blue outlined pulldown from Full Products to Release Candidates and you'll see them all.

Whew I was afraid to pull the trigger today Jan 10 but made it!

I'm using Kiwi Syslog server to collect logs from one of my smaller networks for compliance.
-
NCM is good for configuration management and automation... it also does compliance reports which kills two birds with one stone!
-
In the beginning NPM and SAM work well together as a good place to start monitoring.
-
I grew up in Montgomery and Loveland Ohio... basically suburbs of Cincinnati... then I went to school in Columbus at Ohio State and Franklin University. Now I live in the Valley of the Sun in Scottsdale Arizona.

Yep this also means paying extra to say Dell for the keep your hard drive option if the servers are leased. Our destruction is even worse... our comsec people have to goto the location where they throw all the stuff into an incinerator and they have stay and witness that the hard drives and other material is destroyed!…

Dang not even a PDP/11 o.O they were old when I was in college... we actually used a newer DEC VAX but one of our books was called Assembly Language on a PDP/11.

You're the only one I really recognize well in Barcelona sqlrockstar! I think I've seen the guy with glasses and woman on his left before somewhere but I'm not 100% sure. I do get around to some tech events so maybe if they've been in the US before.

I working on one now with a NetApp NAS cdot mode two node cluster that when I move the lifs to their home port I lose my datastore VM's are running from. The etherchannel that connects to the NAS on the bad side has ports go into "suspended" state. Something isn't configured correctly somewhere so it's following your steps…

This might be good for just finding the directories you may or may not know about. I'm still new to ARM. Bill

This is why a good computer science background applies everywhere and stands to be bascially the same year after year. Just like we use Pseudocode - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to describe algorithms. It's not the syntax or specific language but the fundamental high level ideas that everything are built with and upon.

-
That's happened to me so many times before... really frustrating at times.

Basically jack of all trades and master of none is part of what makes one good at IT. Kinda like studying for the CISSP exam it's miles wide and a foot deep.
-
Yeah... as much as I knew Han Solo was going to win I couldn't not vote for Kirk... it would have been like sci-fi blasphemy! This also mean it's going to be a joke between Picard and Han Solo I'm guessing...

Don't overthink it. The virtual agent was always part of the traditional AI in SW Service Desk.
-
So are we going to lose all our points then? That's kinda a let down after all this time.

Here in Scottsdale Arizona we have a couple companies that give rides on the planes... depending on what seat you're in the prices are different: CAF AirPower History Tour featuring the B-29 Superfortress FIFI The Bombardier Seat would be best in the B-29 for sure! World's only flying B-29 Superfortress making two stops…

I like some of these... I wish I had more time.
