I think having a credible test lab to test the patches before hand is what's really lacking in most companies.

The old school mentality of doing everything yourself and trying to protect your little fiefdom doesn't work well anymore... you have to work together as a team.

Even the BIOS settings on an ESXi host can have major consequences in performance. For example we found Dell blade servers if they had the XEON set at default power saving mode made large builds of a compiler take orders of magnitude longer... almost unnaturally slower. That's just one setting we found... many made HUGE…

For Monday's question when I click on the SQL there is only one database critical and it's not on the list. It's WSS_Logging?

Is this Bomgar remote free or something? Kinda wondering why so many people use it? I just checked it isn't free but popular I guess... the first tool I saw for windows like that was the Solarwinds one... I always liked how it could push it's agent out to the client if you were Domain Admin.

I wonder how netpath would handle the MPLS vs. traceroute?…

The answer is there filter by Virtual Host. That is the ESX hosts.

We are using more PA f/w now too as well.

My sister was born in Dallas... Texas is a great state!

It's good that it's easy to add and remove these. The new SEM HTML5 interface to work with the rules is making it easier I think to edit your rules.

We were just beginning to implement neural networks while I was in college... it's finally getting somewhere now.

I like the broom activity that goes on during a match!

This is pretty cool data. I always like seeing things like this. I can confirm ebay, usually, has one of the best systems for response which is pretty important if you're sniping! Bill

When you don't own the actual infrastructure I don't see how no matter what kind of reassurances you get from the ISP that you could ever really trust it or for that matter do much about it when things go wrong... for this reason many industries I thought would almost never consider this but... cost is king I guess and…

I think we all have seen some of that... also much more Linux now. It's not a toy OS anymore.
