Sounds like a fun trip... especially going to Europe... the location is coincidentally a little off due to recent events but otherwise sounds good.

I've been getting into NIXIE tubes lately... wish I could find some of these CD47 Rodan tubes (it's the big one) but they're like impossible to find and if you do they are priceless: Those are Japanese but the Germans made some really nice smaller ones as well.
