Some decent solarwinds tools to help with this...

Or use this link lawbar90 linked that has it too GDPR – What is it and how can SolarWinds help? The answer is in there.

Uh hello... there's a reason we don't take phones into areas and they have to remain locked up. No transmitters are permitted so this is kinda a ridiculous idea that won't work in the US at least. Also many rooms are Tempest so it's essentially a Faraday cage the entire room. The virus hasn't affected me at all. I've been…

DanielleH posts them a little while after the weeks completed... it's a manual process.

I'm a real fan of the space program public and private and I'm really glad to hear we're going to get some more use out of the hubble. It really is a game changer.

Applying the various neural net architectures to solve new problems is where we're at right now... we're finally getting some real problems to apply them to and do some IRAD's ie. investing real money and doing real science.

God knows I've got enough people I've worked for here that still all think I work for them... even though I don't lol! Oh and they all try to schedule meetings all day long too which doesn't help. Nothing like meetings all day and never doing any real work... And I rarely RTFM! Much less the instructions. (one exception is…

Lol the finding excuses not to work out or get some exercise hits home!

The mad magazine pic was the best...

We're doing VMware NSX... it was a big undertaking with much cost involved but I'm excited to be on the cutting edge network virtualization... we have the internet for access too but our core is MPLS between sites with guaranteed SLA on connectivity. The internet isn't exactly something with an SLA on it but I agree it's…

No mission master award this year... that much is for sure! Bill

That geek fuel is looking pretty nice! I'm guessing there's going to be a bunch of people passing the last round so it's gonna be the luck of the draw! Good luck to everyone!

Ugh that doesn't sound like fun at all! Finally some of the kinds of security needed are spreading to areas where it really should be though. In the industrial base we've been living with this for a long time. Hopefully this will have a good long term effect. If they don't enforce real penalties no one would ever follow…

We've recently added Secure-ID for all users in open network which is unclassified. Everyone has two factor now. By having every machine have a unique ladmin password if one machines gets exploited they can't just move laterally all across the network... that's the idea anyhow. Also for file sharing we use our own dropbox…

Seems like Orion and NPM/SAM can cover a lot of this cloud monitoring for us!

I'm going to be getting SRM soon I think but it can definitely get expensive if you have a lot of disks in your NAS's like we have! Seems like having larger disks would save you a lot of money on SRM.

We're slowly considering outsourcing some workloads but it's a lot of security research and getting customer approval for some things.

Looking good so far... I'd like the opportunity to be able to get a new logo backpack maybe in the future (someone has to unlock it in the store). It's nice having the classic but the new one looks cool too!

Nothing like AppInsight for SQL to push an overburdened SQL Server right over the edge... it takes some DB resources to run AppInsight for sure... it's great info but it has a cost I've found out! o.O!

Not sure what's up about the room keys lolol! Maybe that's a good move on VMware's marketing side???
-
LOL this is funny!

I remember thinking about AD when I first finally broke down after years and got the SAM module and realized it wasn't AD aware! That's huge for any windows administrator... these days everything is segmented by OU in AD. Geesh we even use AD for our unix/linux auth now with kerberos and ldap from AD. This should really be…
