Woohoo nice beach scene!

Thomas has best creative use of the hat! IDK if it's just me but I'm not fan of those truck driver hats with the big screen in the back and the billboard on the front!

Dang STU!

The Blanton's single barrel is great. I used to like bookers "center cut" batches as well. Booker's Bourbon | Batches I always thought it was neat how they make them both. I met the son at a Cigar Aficionado in Vegas years ago and heard the whole story about how Booker's came to be... it started as some center of warehouse…

You like stats Thomas... check this out: • Chart: Apple Shipped More Watches Than Switzerland in Q4 2017 | Statista That's pretty crazy o.O!

Do I enter the dashes or not?

We have the same problems byrona! I think we see some of the same things in our environments. We standardized on commvault and that backup software has so many knobs and settings on it... it's like some devs just kept adding features for 20 years and never depreciated anything. There are 3 or 4 ways to do anything in it.

Mine did that too but it's still OK and correct.

We take it very far... often some systems should also be inside their own DMZ and if it's really important there's nothing like an airgap to keep people out! Having more than one system receiving the syslog, traps, and polling also is an advantage. ACL's, DACL's, PACL's, L3 f/w, L7 f/w, IPS, also locally security systems…

I like Jfrazier get to touch a lot of things which really helps to not be stuck doing one thing that could eventually become "legacy."
-
If you still have legacy devices that can't do anything but smb1... I think you may have bigger problems... it's like still using NIS for authentication... you just shouldn't do it anymore. I get it though... things like old linux clients or Solaris machines running dated samba comes to mind!

Makes me think of Led Zeppelin 4 album... great tracks on there for sure.

I had one that related to your previous article Root Cause, When You're Neither the Root nor the Cause I had a WAN the circuit that seemed to suddenly stop working. The symptom in the ASA firewall with the connections was a SYN Timout. This to me meant the three way handshake on tcp connections was not completing. Finally…

Knowing how things operate behind the scenes can be a real asset to solving complex problems.

The problem with ML and AI is it's often hyped to be a BUNCH of stuff that it's NOT.

Wow I don't know if I'll be able to afford thwackcamp this year! Bill

kong the vm specialist!

I always thought this should have never been a separate product. It should have been the new network atlas from the start. Now with newer mapping in NPM it seems there should be some way to combine the best of both NTM and new NPM mapping together.

Even with getting an engineering degree at the university... it's more about learning how to learn than the specifics they teach.
-
The big picture is where it's at right now in IT. Being a computer scientist helps to see, learn, use, and understand multiple technologies and not be stuck in one silo. I do windows, unix, linux, storage, virtualization, and network including now monitoring and even orchestration (with ACI, DNA Center, ISE, and in VMware…

It usually takes a while into the next month before previous months points are awarded. It was also a very active month so I'm sure there are a lot of people to verify.
-
I was afraid to pull the trigger too...

I don't even know these very well... Jessie and the Rippers I suppose... neither of these is going to win I don't think.
-
Are we going through a load balancer to 3 VM's or something Nic? Did you turn sticky on the load balancer? It may not matter as much since it's not https idk? Even without sticky you'd think it would probably work sometimes. It looks like I'm always getting a:c anyhow.

Hopefully this month I won't blow the last question lol!
-
throw one of these on that turntable and you'd be good 2 go!

All these are true but once again this is really just a way to make it easier for users to purchase and manage a virtualized infrastructure. Many, like us, build our own.
-
Yep just had to slow down and actually read the strategies. At first I tried to overthink it.

Was this fixed already? The linked OP says it was.
