I feel the same way... some of the stuff is kinda half baked unless you helped design it at MS.

Everyone does need to start somewhere. I'm not any expert at scripting but I am a CIS major and can get through just about anything with some time and research. Lately mostly powershell with all the windows around and "stuff that needs something that's missing."

No matter what happens up and down the entire app stack... if something isn't working users and even many "IT folk" will say ITS THE NETWORK! 99% of the time it's NOT the network.

I'm a little concerned about stuff running on my phone that's not mine.

Today's video was cool... Denny (the thinking Gorilla) has been around since the beginning of thwack (I only recently realized he left and came back)... I still remember the original "Tell us your unknown your unknown devices thread"... good times. Before MVP was even a thing there were the "gurus"... People like Andy…

That Intel bug is really really bad news... updating firmware isn't trivial to get done across the enterprise. It may get to the point where we just need to disable anything that can be clicked in email all together... many of us already change our email to text only and disable embedded links. The tracking with ultrasonic…

Actually a lot of YOU on thwack are my trusted advisors!

This is a big fear for sure. Luckily there are many semi documented ways of removing parts of windows.

That XBox was a nice prize for sure! That Oculus rift is the bomb though!

4sure! Setec Astronomy for the win!

Those were my first three modules too and you're right.

This is kinda dumb... if Cisco CLI wasn't dang good someone else would have made something better AND... everyone wouldn't have copied them period. It works... it works well and no one has really come up with something better yet. Also with virtualizaton actually dynamically creating tunnels on the fly will be nice...…

A lot of the new IoT that are being used are sensors so yeah we can't just avoid them.

The way solarwinds was excluded for years in the magic quadrant is perfect evidence of how biased it really is...

Yeah I can't tell at all what the hint today has to do with the question? I figured it out but yesterdays had more than one correct answer.

I did the jump to SQL Server 2016 but some of my servers are also still 2012R2. I'm also a federal customer.

The are all good RT... I love security too. Being network guys/gals we already have been surrounded by it... why not make it a main focus I say!
-
We haven't done it yet in any sizable amount but for use express route is the ONLY way we'd be allowed to connect because our data can't traverse the public internet. Hopefully that improves performance as well because some stuff I've read sounds like horror stories after switching to O365.

Brrrrr that looks cold Rick!

adatole Looking at your traceroutes from the video I see that you're in Cleveland Ohio! I grew up in Montgomery/Loveland OH in the suburbs of Cincinnati. I then went to Ohio State in Columbus and finally Franklin University getting my CIS/MIS. I now live in the Desert in Arizona. Boy I don't miss that snow though!

Web based reports!!!

So 100k total interfaces right not nodes and all their interfaces?
-
Not sure at all what Puffin is but I'll stick to chrome I think.
-
Maybe this isn't the best question but why would you need both?
-
I love all the tractor hacking stuff! It's pretty cool actually. People mod their tractors in software!

Looks good!
