You'd like it where I work Rick... we can't have any devices that transmit anything where we work. No cellphones, no smart watches, no Fit Bits! They all spend the ENTIRE day locked up in little boxes outside the work areas.

I struggle a little with DR/BC. It seems a LOT of the times there are plans but really no way to test those plans all the way.

NPM and SAM together with some VMAN does a really good job on all these requirements.

We all find out yeah there a lot of traffic here and when... it's netflow that tells us some layer 4 transport layer information like what the traffic actually is :^}

Now with RMF in the DoD space we basically have to document everything... every process and they have to be reviewed and tested annually.

We use ACAS and HBSS to monitor our infrastructure for vulnerabilities and lock down endpoints on DoD networks. Also SolarWinds software can be approved for use on DoD networks. I've seen Orion on some very "controlled" networks.

I learned Apple Pascal on 5.25" floppies on an Apple ][+ when I was around 12 years old @"KMSigma.SWI" ! I remember it took two floppies because it was so large. Bill

With some devices it's tough to figure out he syntax but time has told that NCM does the job and does it well once it's all setup correctly.

I've also noted that many storage systems start to really perform badly when not even close to being fulling utilized.

ITIL it seems will always be in our lexicon. Remedy has been based on it for years and now everyone seems to be on the bandwagon.
