They finally announced the ISE... the one I need now is called SNS3615. For some reason I thought they'd be 2600 series but they're calling them 36xx now: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/identity-services-engine/data_sheet_c78-726524.pdf

AppStack and PerfStack are getting pretty close to some of this now.

In the realm of data’s grand expanse, SQL Server queries lead the dance. With SELECT, we gather what we need, From tables rich, we start to read. JOINs connect the scattered dots, Linking rows in tangled knots. INNER, LEFT, and RIGHT, they bind, Bringing forth what we must find. WHERE clause filters with precision,…

I was thinking the exact thing too byrona... I was thinking... didn't we just have a geek speak about this the other week lol!
-
Not sure about today's question... I found answer in the ebook and it was almost word for word and wrong.

That's a lotta cheese for a USB drive... HIPPA stuff is bad but I'd have to say I'm even more worried about our national security, IP, and now the personal information of everyone inside OPM database. How they can handle people's SF86's and not encrypt the data is beyond me... I think the entire upper management in US's…

Seems like a good idea to me... nothing helps more than having groups grouped automatically versus having to do it all manually.

I did the same thing and just removed the World Map all together... I will be interested in experimenting with the new intelligent mapping feature.

I like this article. We do have some IT addictions.

Wow this is neat but they'll never allow backups to a cloud owned by someone else where I work.

Elaborate?

Yep... hands down it's Wargames.

It's happened to me probably 20 times! Usually off of a debatable question. I've found taking my time a little helps some.

Data at rest crypto is becoming a requirement now for us.

I got burned today too... I even watched the video twice... oh well I already have the nicer Bose Soundlink speaker: The quiz was pretty obvious too...

It's the security concerns for sure! That's where we're at right now. I suppose since the DoD itself is beginning more cloud offerings for agencies then maybe they'll allow more of us contractors to also do the same.

APM monitoring it tricky sometimes. I've found it, like event correlation, to be an art to do well.

We use our private cloud for this extensively. It makes it easy for labs and projects to spin up infrastructure to test things and then tear it down when they are done. It's also much cheaper and faster than trying to build a secure lab network with new hardware as a one off.

This is great! Love the theme this month!!! The Death Star disk or database thing was pretty funny.

lololol Apple software store! Run windows on your MAC... or he would have hated even worse that since they switched to Intel CPU's that you can run MAC OS inside VMware with a little trickery.
-
It could be some problem on my end... we've been testing out different software on the network so who knows? Could be DNS... maybe someone borked something on an infoblox... lol.

The security implications of containers can be good. Limiting what damage can be done if a service becomes compromised.

I knew it I knew it!!!

And DSS.

Woohoo! We're upgrading two Orion systems from NPM 11.5.3 all the way up to 12.2 and moving off Windows 2008R2 and SQL 2008 today so it's nice to have an easy question today! Nice challenge this month!!!

I disagree about the e-cig juice stuff and anything to do with adults not being allowed to be buying it. The government should stay out of the free market period. Sure kids shouldn't be allowed to buy certain things but telling adults that is a very slippery slope and I'm afraid we're already going down that road with…
