One of my long distance GF that lives in DC is an Amazon executive. The big hype this week is the leaking of info about the HQ2 being in Northern VA.

That's one thing I don't miss about Ohio anymore now that I live in Arizona! Now we have these: These were last year 2016!

This is always an issue... I have a newer Orion instance I turned on the default email address for alerts. I got spammed a couple days until I trimmed them down. I also went through and disabled all the alerts that are default enabled and make no sense like all the cloud monitoring stuff... the network isn't even connected…

Today's question was a little more tricky... some of these VMan things take a while to get down and CPU ready is one of them. I got it right today but wasn't sure for a few minutes. Google often helps too.

Thanks that really helped me!

Private cloud has worked pretty well for us... there may be a future for some things in a hybrid cloud later but today minus a couple SaaS solution for stuff like travel we host everything ourselves.

Everyone except Verizon is going to push the update that won't allow the Note 7 to charge any longer: Verizon won’t push Samsung’s Note 7 bricking update, but the other carriers will | TechCrunch

Here's my first Apple Computer. I got it first with 16k ram and it wasn't enough so I ordered the extra ram to bring it up to 48k at the time it was 2400$ used an RF converter to connect to color tv and I used a normal radio shack cassette tape player for storage (5.25 floppies weren't released yet!)

Happy hump day!

It's funny how some people think AWS seems like such a great thing until they spin up all these machines and use up storage... then get the bill. The bean counters seems to love the idea until the bills start piling up.

Working great!

I do save almost everything digitally... storage is cheap now.

Toto FTW!

I use email alerts still. It makes it easy to quickly glance at my inbox and see what happened since I last looked but I also run a 80" dashboard display in our main room.

I wonder what kind of network visibility that Fastly CDN service offers?

This would be a good thing...

I agree it's probably better to take things in steps and not try to put everything in one big release! I'm still not 100% sure I get what's new about DevOps. New name... I seem to remember Kanban and continuous improvement long long before anyone said anything about DevOps. The Japanese were doing this long before anyone…

Awe the lego daughter thing is nice... so was it real daughter or just a lego?

Blade Runner 4 the win!

Honestly Rick I think it's because you waited all day until the answer is revealed by some of us that actually try to take the questions on at face value... there's nothing wrong with that but it still doesn't change the fact that a couple questions this week wouldn't pass on any real test as legitimate. I chalk it up to…

I'm an accidental DBA once in while so I don't really know how to optimize database performance and now we have Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL, DB2, and PostGreSQL o.O!

All these skills are helpful for sure!

You might have to send us the answers Hershey ;^}

That's what I do too smoked_angus! I have two Dell 24" Ultrasharp flat screen side by side for my unclassified machine. I leave the question up on the left and right click copy the link for the hint then past it into browser windows on my right hand flat screen.

Looks really dangerous to me o.O It's a tiny SMART car I think... pretty insane thinking that's going to work. Can you imagine the brakes on that thing going down a steep grade?

I'm in the middle of DSS audits this week... nothing like going line by line through the STIG's and proving each line item!
