I think more and more we're going to find people having this problem... ICMP is a risk in some areas.

I have my own problems with this... we send syslog to Orion and even have splunk forwarding syslog to Orion. It does seem that Orions syslog functionality isn't quite on par with Kiwi syslog server. I do like F5 load balancers but I guess I'd rather figure out a way to reduce the syslog going to Orion versus having to load…

I was a little nervous pulling the trigger today but you gotta go with what's there!

Ugh firmware updates for Meldown-Spectre! Windows patches for this are easy but firmware not quite so much. Also the novel fix Google shared on this was amazing work and negligent performance problems! Also as for the scientific criticism one area this is so bad is on climate science... its just bad and not always science…

I think it's happened to the best of us for one reason or another... sometimes it's work and sometimes it's other things.

I had trouble trying to get the video to play today... when I clicked on it it says "No compatible source was found for this media." This was in IE... I just tried firefox and it worked. So if this also happens to you try firefox.

Wow I can't wait to mess with the pi! It's the first thing I ever won on thwack!

Especially now that they want syslog from network devices, all clients/servers, basically anything. I even had a DSS auditor telling me he needed to see the syslog from my Cisco ACS server showing it recorded a failed log in in my syslog server and to prove it to him. On top of everything else they want the "raw" log data…

This year here in the "Valley of the Sun" in Scottsdale Arizona I'm hoping the much increased solar radiation is going to kick the @#$% out of the Wuhan Virus that's been plaguing us! I'm doubting the virus can live very well in the 100+ degree Fahrenheit Arizona Sun! Bill

It's kinda hard to find it's a click and tab and down on the page... check the SQL server one.

Some sure but our main most important networks believe me are locked down and locked down hard. We patch everything and if it's critical we have 72 hours to get it done. The DISA STIGs are held up as an example for how you should secure things when peoples lives are literally on the line. When it's life or death on the…

I gotta say though your setup looked pretty neat in those picture I saw recently!

I got the SS uploaded ok. For the ASA one it only allowed uploading one image though.

If you mean the thwackpack you're 100% right... it's THE best swag SW has and after you get one it disappears from the store but make no mistake... it's the bomb!

Since the DoD built the arpanet I believe it's definitely still "the network."
-
At least it wasn't a real disaster!

lolol those pictures @rschroeder swimming in the DC!

I would be thankful for many many more TB of NAS storage ie. a couple more shelves for my NetApps! An enlarged license for my Commvault backup software. And of course more/expanded licenses for various Orion modules!

I've been saying it for months now... this is just a subset of the new RMF process.
-
I'm considering LEM to replace GFI Eventsmanager on a couple networks... I wonder how it handles STIG'd environment?
-
Your brain is pretty big Will... you figure out how to do some pretty unique stuff!

I love all the darkreading stuff too!
