On one of my airgapped networks I've decided to dump using vmware and am now using just windows 2016 server instead. It's taking a little getting used to but it'll be less stuff to patch and I can let WSUS take care of everything.

Pretty much Cisco or Juniper is all you can use for DoD networks from what I've seen and most are Cisco.

I try to leave the db to the dba's but that can't always be the case... it's then that that SQL training I took years ago comes in handy.

Always have to remember to add the SQL Server agent so Commvault will pick up and backup the databases for SQL Server.

I'm not using it yet but I saw the design the UX team was putting together... it's pretty awesome for ASA stuff minus FP. I can't use non-release software in production at all.
