I just opened a case on how to enable this since it say it must all be done before you setup and connectors... which I already have. I did expand my data/logs partition to 2TB so I have a lot of space. I'm hoping tech support can get my long term storage working somehow. Case # - 00201801

Does this also work for windows with agents? Does it convert the windows event logs into syslog and forward or ???
-
I love your explaination lololol!!!
-
One addition... I came to find out that additional webserver licenses are cheap compared to other modules... just an FYI.

I am having this problem on 9.4.1 I was mistaken when seeing this and thought it would fix our problem... ugh
-
This is exactly the problem I've been having the service wouldn't start in windows 2012 R2. Fingers crossed this will fix my problem and close our case out. I'll keep you posted bkyle!

This is pretty cool!
-
That kinda a bummer really... my guess is some people aren't going to be very happy if stuff just stops working. This isn't the only thing that's a little frustrating... how many log managers do they have now as well? One company selling competing products is a little strange.
-
Nice one Dave! I still have a bunch of report writer stuff running reports.
-
Works perfectly!

The NBAR I'm exicited to see! That's awesome.

How am I supposed to know how each of the connectors are supposed to work? Some have some information about them but many just have generic text explanation? The ones of primary concern to me right now are even the linux 64 bit agent and Solaris agent ones. My current machines may not be logging the way the agent…

The good old days of report writer.

I like this... those strange default values make the report look funny. Thanks everyone! I uploaded it. Component_Monitor_Threshold_Value_Report_(with_nulls).OrionReport

This is great alterego... and I'm really glad someone else knows their SQL well enough to put something like this together!
-
That's a little disappointing I must say :^{ Hopefully it'll be addressed. I'm guessing the move has something to do with securing the credentials better because SW came under some scrutiny on the security of the Orion platform. If anyone can help straighten it out it would be tdanner.
-
Trust me guys and gals... tdanner would know. Also using the API versus things like accessing the database directly with SQL is the whole reason to use the API. While the schema of the database may change the API doesn't so you have a consistent method to access the Orion platform.

The corgi says the link to sign up for beta isn't working. It says content is unauthorized.
-
I tried this one... pretty cool. From looking at the number it must by default show temp (Hardware Sensor Value) in Celsius I'm guessing because the numbers are low.

This sounds even better Jiri! Quite a few of us deal with totally isolated networks. I have to admit it's much easier with an internet connection as I have some like that as well.
-
RichardLetts is pretty crafty with that stuff.

What is KTN? Doh just figured it out... Know the Network.

The big thing is will Replace syslog/trap with the functionality from our new Log Manager product be a new module and how will this work exactly? It would be great if it just replaced the old trap/syslog listener and assorted stuff that went with it. Big props to sja for never letting off on this issue in Orion.

I can't wait to see the new Nexus support. I have a ton of FEX's which ironically we are going to rip out now for newer gear but it'll be neat to see the new features! The increased element count per instance is a good thing too! The remote collector agent will be awesome for some of my DMZ's as well. All good updates!…

I think you may be right :^}

Weird I get... Hmmm... Seems fine to me. When I try the method aLTeReGo mentioned I get the id-1402 error... try NPM Beta that works for me.

I'm in the middle of these upgrades right now! I'm glad v3 is pretty stable.

I can relate to this with the Cisco ACS and Firepower stuff... even though it appears the main interface is an https interface... there's still a command line when you ssh to the devices and most regular basic command we're used to do work and are there! So a show run works just like we like! I had to discover some of…
